[Subsidy] Everyone a House!
Ministerie van Economische Zak
Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,
The Government (MDSanderon I) has promised to introduce programs that reward and motivate you, the citizens. With the recent spike in income due to a so-called Concession Deal with Iran it's time to deliver on such promises. As a first step in a long road to maximizing our potential to the fullest, The Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence are introducing a one-time subsidy for Housing. We've noticed many eDutch citizens still don't use Housing on a regular basis, while there are numerous benefits in using it! As for that reason the eNetherlands will offer you an opportunity to receive an one-time 1000cc subsidy.
Why Housing?
Owning a House (specifically a Quality 1) has several benefits. It increases your recoverable energy (the maximum amount of energy you can store) therefore giving one the opportunity to use all the gained energy efficiently. No more losing energy during your healthy sleep! In case of being a resident of a so-called 'residency' it adds even more benefits: Each activated Quality of Housing gives you +2 Energy Recovery every 6 minutes. It will also extend the durability of your house: Instead of the ordinary 7 days a House stays active, it will gain you more or less another day on top of that!
Lastly - and why this is a one-time subsidy only - you actually earn money by purchasing a Q1 House! Every active house grants you with 1 Overtime Point an hour. With 24 Overtime Points you can work an additional time and gain another salary. To illustrate this please consult the following basic calculation (numbers may slightly vary depending on the market):
Cost of Q1 House on eNL Market: +-3400
Daily Salary in eNL: +-520
[Note that prices/wages in eNL are generally worse than abroad]
With a Q1 House you can work twice a day so by buying an house you can potentially get 3640 extra a week - netting you a profit of 140 (Buying Houses abroad and/or working abroad will heavily increase this, though). The eNetherlands offers an one-time grant of 1000cc to motivate you to buy such an House and try it out for yourself. All with the intention that the benefits will be shown and (hopefully) continue using them. Which does not only help yourself financially and on the battlefield, but helps the potential of our entire nation as well.
Great! How do I apply?
By commenting on this article showing your interest or by messaging either Janty F or NoTie112 you can apply for this Grant after having bought a Q1 House and activated it. If you have a residency we can check whether or not you did; in case of not having a residency you will need to provide adequate proof (f.e. a screenshot). We will also check whether or not you're an eDutch citizen and have reached Level 20. The handing out of Grants will be noted down in a separate Google Document to ensure transparency and avoid double applications. Eventually the intention is to put this down in 'law' to ensure continuity.

Great this is being done! Never bothered to look into it, and it's quite new isn't it? I will buy a Q1 house thing, but don't need the subsidy. I have enough money.
It's not that new - but in eRepublik Universe it's one of the last real changes 😛. Nice to hear! After all the intention of this is to motivate the use of them and inform of why it should be common sense - whether by a financial incentive or not 😉
Nice to see this program launched!
I don't need the subsidy as i've already got a Q1 and Q2 house active 24/7.
Agreed, I don't need the subsidy (nor should anyone really for that matter)
I currently have a Q1 house active 24/7, and have had more houses active in the past (and as a consequence still have heaps of overtime points).
I work abroad and am a resident there (as I have my own companies there as well for the production bonuses). My current salary is over 725 NL net, house durability bonus in my residency is 20%, activation cost is about 1% of the price of a house, so a Q1 house is easily very profitable.
That's an awfull lot. It's a few weeks ago I did the math but at first glance that seems like to much to make a profit. Yet i will recalculate when I find the time. Currently my offer stays 600 but it could be adjusted later on then.
I also don't know how my employer (and a few others) do it. Probably it requires just the right industry, right region for the company, and place to sell with low taxes...
But I won't complain. If they have only a small profit at least I'm not helping foreigners too much.
I have worked for M. de Ruyter for a while, as he offered good salary, and at least he's somebody I know well. But right now I've simply switched to the best net salary I can find on the job market.
Hmmm, better quit my job at Weekstroms, right? Got tips where to go for a good payed job?
Well at least you are contributing to the eDutch economy this way and not that of someone else 😉

True...
Or resign and reapply to have the current offered payment 😉
Can just up his salary no?
True, and most of the time I do. However I do not have the time yet so for those impatient they can do it themselves already 😉
By the way: that’s no uncommon practice. My employer never changes salary but expects you to manage it yourself. He even has that stated as first remark on his profile page...
I just did that haha, now I'll earn 100 NLG more a day at your company than I did before.
Yay, good initiative!
You better get your own House too 😉
Can I apply here? 😛
Do I qualify for a house as well? 😉 😃
Yep
I usually have at least one house active...
I bought one today.
