[SPQR] Tendrils of flame strike the emperor pony

Flying over the pacific ocean, I sought to return to my homeland to find the other Publians and seek their counsel as to better herald our lifestyles. I found myself aboard a private jet, mysteriously signed for under my name, looking out an extra-sized window.



The sky started off a lovely blue, but as the sunset crept in flashes of red lit up the night. There, in the sky, I saw a monster flying towards me.



ilphen, false god of horses, rode towards my airplane, intent on its destruction. Ever closer he straddled my vehicle, bucking about as horses are wont to do. At last, as his Brobdingnagian stature brought the pilot's grip nearly to his knees, our plane was encased in fire. My Publian senses were tingling.

ilphen screeched and retreated, and out of the depths of the ocean, rivaling a dozen blue whales in size, came Publius, my lord and master.



Clad in full battle armor, Publius slammed a helm upon his helmet and unsheathed a sword the length of his very member, both of which he handled with ease.

Publius flew across the water in a rage, turning it bloodred and springing flames the size of mountains in his wake, as he ran towards ilphen. A jump in the air, a slice through the night, and ilphen disappeared from my sight.

I cried "Publius, my Shepherd and Lord, thank you for the protection you afford me!"

Booming in the night, as his silhouette sank into the water, Publius' voice rang out clear as day: "My child, I will always be at your side."



Tears streaming down my face, my plane continued on to its destination, ready for me to assume my new mantle of power and convene with the Publians.
