Afternoon lads o/,

As MPs have voted against dissolution they will need to ‘do their jobs’ and review acts passed since the MTO; discussing what they’d like to keep.

Anything agreed can quickly be reinstated in the event of a liberation and we can have a nice normal vote in-game to confirm or renew it.

I expect conversation will take place mainly in the thread but see no reason not to open it to the public too:

Tax changes

2 --> 1% Work tax
1 --> 99% Import taxes (weapons, aircraft & mt)
1 --> 25% VAT (aircraft)

Others

Romanian Embargo – can simply not renew it but someone can put it up for a laugh anyway
Issue money – £80,000 for 400g (??)

A lot of the above is pointless discussing and the result of any voting may change depending on when the dictator is removed. Also, at this point it would make sense to review the changes later with hindsight than to rush for a decision now. We might disagree with some of the changes now but actually discover benefits in a month's time.

there will only be discussion as I agree a vote would be pointless until it can be confirmed under a democratic module ingame

but that doesn't necessarily make it pointless to discuss what we'd like to keep or change until then?

The issue money one makes sense, not sure why the ?? is there. You can't move gold from treasury to orgs to any gold in there is literally useless unless you use issue money to make it into an amount of cc.

I believe he's done it once in history, if at all. But regardless, the timing of it doesn't matter in the slightest as the game exchanges it at a fixed rate.
