eIreland and Socialism are Inseparable

October 6th, Day 3,973

In this short column I want to give a history lesson both relating to real life Irish history and eIrish history. The culture of eIreland has always been tied to the promise of Socialism/eSocialism. The Irish have always understood that their liberation was tied with the liberation of all oppressed peoples, that is why there is much support for Palestine, Scottish independence, Libyan socialism, and so on and so forth. Sure they weren't all always perfect, but the Irish always understood they were doing what they thought was right to liberate their people from the clutches of the greedy capitalist, the heartless landlord, and the colonial powers who sought to exploit their resources while intentionally under-developing their country to be at a material and productive disadvantage.

eIrish culture should not abandon the tradition and spirit of real life Ireland. Back in 2011-2012 (and 2013-2014 respectively) eIreland's fight for liberation, independence, and emancipation relied on leftist principles and our culture was infused with the spirit of the Irish Labour Party and Republican values. This apolitical sham we find ourselves in scratches the surface of a united country, but it's only skin deep. It's a spiritless zombie merely surviving. Where is the pride to be eIrish? Where is the spirit of our nation?

In order to honor and carry on eIrish tradition and spirit we must embrace the path to eSocialism. We must not give into the neoliberal conception of a post-modernist world. We are not divorced from ideology, merely influenced by it. That is why I ask you to join the Irish Revolutionary Force and vote me for Party Chairman. Together we will make eIreland remember this grand tradition and lift us up to greater heights. Cheers!

- Your Comrade,
Mike Bane

"If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organization of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain. England would still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, through her landlords, through her financiers, through the whole array of commercial and individualist institutions she has planted in this country and watered with the tears of our mothers and the blood of our martyrs.
