Proposal: SFP Producer Cooperative

"Prologue:

The Socialist Freedom Party has decided to create a new organization to experiment formally with a Producer Cooperative system. These By-Laws will serve as a guideline and instruction manual for those who decide to join this organization.

A Producer Cooperative is an organization of Producers that is democratically operated and controlled by Producers, who pool and share their resources to gain better bargaining power and to increase the income of the constituent Producers.

In the SFP Producer Cooperative, WRM, ARM, HRM, FRM, Food, Weapon, Aircraft Weapon, and Housing Producers all pool some of their daily income from the market, (CC or USD) that they individually set, using an Elected Treasurer to hold the funds.

Daily Operation:

-Each Producer sends some of the CC they made on the market to the Treasurer each day
-Each Producer posts how much they have sent to the Treasurer in the Group Message

-The Treasurer receives the funds for the day from each Producer
-The Treasurer counts and keeps track of the funds sent

Trust will be the most important factor in the continued existence of this organization and will be important in expanding the operations of its constituent Producers in a democratic and long-term way.

The clearly stated goal of the SFP Producer Cooperative is: To form an organization of Producers who pool some of their daily income so that it may grow over time; Who allow for the democratic allocation of the funds pooled, to purchase more companies, upgrades, and supplies for the constituent Producers.

Producer’s Rights:

All Producers affiliated with the SFP Producer Cooperative have the following Rights:

- Right to vote for a Treasurer (1 vote per Producer)
- Right to vote on funding (1 vote per Producer)
- Right to vote on including a new Producer into the Cooperative (1 vote per Producer)
- Right to vote to remove a Producer from the Cooperative (1 vote per Producer)
- Right to vote on Amending the organization’s By-Laws (1 vote per Producer)
- Right to call a Treasury Check
- Right to call a vote on electing a Treasurer
- Right to call a vote on including a new Producer into the Cooperative
- Right to call a vote to remove a Producer from the Cooperative
- Right to call for an Amendment to the organization’s By-Laws
- Right to set the amount of their daily income sent to the Treasurer

Elected Treasurer Duties:

The Duties of the Elected Treasurer shall be:

- To hold the Treasury of the SFP Producer Cooperative
- To keep track of the funds sent by the Producers each day and the Treasury
- To respond to Treasury Checks with the required information
- To send funds from the Treasury whenever a Producer is chosen for funding through a vote of the Producers
- To Send the Treasury to the next Elected Treasurer

*The Treasurer may not spend any funds in the Treasury without the expressed consent of the producers through a vote.*

Elections And Voting:

These are the Election and Voting processes within the organization:

- Election of a Treasurer

Once a Producer has called for the Election of a new Treasurer a vote is to be conducted. Any Producer can be on the ballot. Each Producer has one vote. The Democracy Threshold is 65% of the Total Producer Votes to elect a Treasurer. This process should last until all votes have been cast.

->If the Democracy Threshold is reached a New Treasurer is Elected and the Former Treasurer should send the Treasury to the New Treasurer.

- Voting on funding

Once a Producer has called for a vote to give out funds, a vote should be held. This vote should include all Producers seeking funding. Producers have one vote each.

Once a Producer has been chosen, the Treasurer sends the specified funds to the chosen Producer. The Producer with the most votes receives funding.

*Producers may vote “no one” when choosing who receives funding*

*Ties are broken by the producers who are newest to the game*

->The Producer with the most votes should receive the specified funding from the Treasurer.

-Voting to Add a Producer to the Cooperative

Once a Producer has suggested the addition of a new Producer to the Cooperative, a vote should be held to incorporate them into the Cooperative. The Democracy Threshold is 65% of the Total Producer Votes to add a new Producer.

*Known scammers may not be added to this organization (This information can be found using CB Key or by compiling a list of scammers previously dealt with by the Producers)*

->If the Democracy Threshold is reached the new Producer should be added to the Cooperative and a new Group Message should be opened including them.

-Voting to Remove a Producer From the Cooperative

Once a Producer has suggested the removal of another Producer from the Cooperative, a vote should be held to remove them from the Cooperative. The Democracy Threshold is 65% of the Total Producer Votes to remove a Producer.

*There are two kinds of Removal Processes: Honorable Removal and Dishonorable Removal, Producers who wish to leave the Cooperative can be Honorably Removed. (This means that they will receive the funds they contributed to the Treasury upon removal) Dishonorable Removal is reserved for scammers, charlatans, and fraudsters. (This means that they will not receive the funds they contributed to the Treasury upon Removal) Only Dishonorable Removal Should require a vote.)*

->If the Democracy Threshold is reached the Producer should be removed from the Cooperative and a new Group Message should be formed without them.

-Voting on an Amendment to the By-Laws

Once a Producer has suggested an Amendment to the By-Laws, a vote should be held to ratify it. The Democracy Threshold is 65% of the Total Producer Votes to ratify an Amendment.

->If the Democracy Threshold is reached the Amendment is ratified

Epilogue:

Lastly, there should be room in the SFP Producer Cooperative for experimental gameplay outside of the bounds of the organization’s By-Laws. (as it is ultimately an experiment) Just a few examples of some aspects of that that aren’t covered formally here are:

Random donations by constituent Producers to the Treasury, Gift Economy (Producer to Producer Donations), Producers working for Producers, the addition of Inter-Party Producers, and Producers using their Products for Party Programs however, there are undoubtedly many.

This organization should take the form of a Group Message in-game, opened by the Producers."
