Hello eWorld,

I’ve been looking for a topic to write about for few days already, I had the motive, I had the inspiration, I just couldn’t find anything worth writing about. I was thinking to write some kind of a tutorial about how to do something in this game, but not many people would even bother to read that because doing almost anything except fighting in this game is not even profitable enough to make people bother with it. It’s just the way Admins want it to be. I’m not saying there’s not much more, it’s just people aren’t bothered with it.

Look eUSA for example, they are positive example of how the internal things should look like. If all the countries were like eUSA things would be much more fun in here. Politics, economy, discussions and stuff like that still matters there. It was never the game itself anyway, people just seem to forget that.

In today’s world you could make your country play smart way, or the old fashioned way. There are few more options, but most of the countries lost their sovereignty long time ago. Those countries just adopted to do whatever their bigger allies or enemies want them to do while they go for TP medals or TW’s. There’s no more internal criticism or anything which could make country’s leaders to question their own decisions. Only tanks are left in this game.





Rule of the stronger


At this moment it’s pretty hard to find a couple of countries who would still care for their allies more than they care for themselves. It actually used to be a thing in v1 of this game. Now, I’m not saying there’s something wrong with the new rules, I’m just saying that not everyone has adopted to this kind of changes in the same time.

It all started with the end of EDEN, the last alliance which could fight TWO, or todays Asteria. After EDEN died there was no unity, will or knowledge to fight the other side. In the meantime TWO/Asteria adopted to the new rules in the game and start to gather those who could provide with firepower or geopolitical advantages. The alliance core is Romania and Serbia, as well as few other smaller countries. Romania and Serbia has been coordinating great on the international aspect and they’ve managed to get whoever they wanted in the alliance. They easily got rid of those they didn’t need anymore as well. Asteria is a perfect example of how the alliance should look like. They help those who adopt their rule and make them feel like they are strong.

The whole game basicly relies on what Asteria, or what Asterian core members are going to decide. At start it wasn’t that easy for them, but they would keep adopting to the new games. They overcome all the problems on the way and kept growing to what it is now. A giant beast, a huge manipulator and probably the best alliance this game has ever had. I know many of my friends won’t like it, but Asteria is much stronger than EDEN ever was. In this game, the ultimate goal is to win and Asteria did it in a way no one else ever did. At this moment Asteria controls whole the world and they can choose where to start and win conflicts. They are like puppet masters of Erepublik.

When they needed Greece they used Greece, when they needed smaller countries such as Canada at this moments they would offer them a great deals and use their diplomacy to make the best out of them. Asteria has used all the events this game has offered to make the gap between them and their opponents even bigger. Nowadays Asteria has Bulgaria and MKD under their wing, however as soon as the situation becomes different they will easily replace those two with some other two, maybe Chile and Argentina, maybe Greece and Poland once again. Whatever happens Serbia and Romania will keep finding solutions together to get the best out for them. It’s nothing personal to the countries they’re replacing, they’re doing it because they can do it. What will others do? What others can do? Absolutely nothing.

Anti Asteria side is a side I used to be part of, before breaking all my ties and leaving all the coordination messages few months ago after realizing that any Anti Asteria country would be happy to become proAsteria if only they’d got a good offer. Asteria grew so much they have the leverage to do that. All the world’s countries wants to be Asteria and Asteria will pick those which suits them perfectly. They know how to choose and they know when and who to replace/remove. Asteria has won the game and I’ll be the first one to admire them on it.




Masters of this game


Asteria has become the master of this game. All the future things, all the current situations are monitored by them. It’s impossible to beat them, you can only get rid of them by joining them. Some countries figured that out sooner, some still didn’t. There’s few more stubborn ones left. Those who signed NAP with them got some conditions to do. They don’t even publish those things because why would they? If someone breaks the word they will just punish them. Because they can. If they feel like situation isn’t suitable for them anymore they’ll just change it and open a new war or whatever it takes to change the situation.

As example, that’s why USA Airstrike Croatia, that’s why all the other real conflicts happens. USA tried to get into better relations with Asteria by doing a mistake. They didn’t realize Croatia has better relations with Serbia than they do and soon after USA got punished. Asteria didn’t even had to do anything in this conflict. They intervene only when that’s neccessary. The most recent attack on Albania by several countries was another project of Asteria. Colin managed to defend himself simply by spending loads of currency. But it was costly and even he’s aware that he won’t be able to do that all the time.

The conflicts to come are all managed by Asteria, but it doesn’t mean they will be involved in them, they will just give their blessing. If things goes wrong they will still be able to switch their current allies for some others. They’ve built a strong net around themselves and it’s impossible to break it.




Small fishes


An example of small fishes in the ocean is Australia. We are well aware of Asteria’s supremacy and strength in this game. That’s why we’ve decided to ignore the alliances and focus on individual countries for a while. We didn’t attend any Anti Asteria meeting since those kind of meetings lost its purpose long time ago. The Greek neutrality was just the last nail in the coffin of Anti Asteria side, regardless of their change to previous state at this moment. It kinda triggered many people to re-consider Anti Asteria and adopt to the changes.

Australia has built kinda good relations with Peru and I’m sure this relations will keep growing even though they are Asteria and we aren’t. We don’t declare ourselves as Anti Asteria anymore anyway. As I said, there’s no purpose, motives or goals anymore. I’ve been Anti Asteria for ages and leart things the bad way. Once again...it’s impossible to beat them and we need to congratulate them for that.

On the other side, the only segment of Anti Asteria which never accepted compromises, the only person who were capable to unite Anti Asteria and provide some victories was Colin Lantrip / Albania. That’s exactly why Asteria has decided to isolate him from the others by signing NAP with almost all of his allies and then attacked him directly. It was an attempt to break the final bastion of Anti Asteria side. All other countries and individuals who could make a difference has surrended long time ago. When they decided to attack Albania, we as CrOmegans, Australians and “small country’s” warriors had to make a decision.

Our plan was originally to improve relations to Asteria and we did it in some ways. On the other side Colin was the only person who never left us alone when we were in eIreland. We were aware of all the consequences our move against Asteria would have and we still did it. If it was any other country or individual we wouldn’t do it simply because Colin is the last romantic in this game. He helped small countries when no one else didn’t want to help. We faced the good old ‘play smart’ vs. ‘play with honor’ question. In the end, we’ve decided to go all in, one last time, for Colin and glory. We owe him that. We didn’t want him to fight alone regardless of how our move wasn’t even helpful to him, he would probably manage to do what he did on his own anyway. Soon after that the big Asteria punishment has arrived. Australia has lost congress. It was a mistake by Australia to do that, but an honorable mistake we will never regret.

UK for example is another example of a small fish. They’ve chosen the other way few months ago when they decided to be proAsteria. They kinda made good relations with Bulgaria when Bulgaria was antiAsteria and when Asteria wanted Bulgaria on their side UK jumped into the bandwagon. It turned out well for them and they’ve chosen to play ‘smart’ while leaving their other allies behind. It’s probably a good move for them and I’m sure they don’t regret it as now they have a strong countries to watch their backs. In v1 it would be a lousy move, but this game has changed a lot, unlike some people. I honestly think UK did a good decision.





Is there a light at the end of a tunnel?


It’s not a good thing for a game to have an alliance which controls all the other countries. In that aspect I kinda wish things would change. On the other hand, Asteria deserved their domination and it would be unfair to ask them to change it for no reason. In a short term future nothing will change, Asteria will organize few more ‘big’ conflicts everyone knows a winner of. We can expect some delicious fights which will probably serve as a qualification race to get more respect from Asteria in the future. Australia will participate in that, we hope we’ll earn as many points as possible and be rewarded for it by the big masters.

However, in the long term future things could get complicated in two ways. One is Asteria making a mistake by replacing some of their allies or organizing the wrong wars. The other one is Anti Asteria side actually gets on Asterian level of tactical planning long term things. At this moment Anti Asteria side is nothing but someone who participates in Asteria’s game.
