[REV] My Outstretched Hand

Day 2,933, 04:28 Published in USA USA by Tom Cauchon

I write this article, not so much as a response to any single article over the past week or any specific comments recently, but rather to address and explain the overarching themes presented in the discussion this week.

Throughout the past month, I have heard many calls for SFP and BSP to “contribute” to the discussion; to “cooperate” with the other parties, to “compromise” with the other parties. I’ve heard a lot of this. Every time someone from SFP attempts to make a response, they’re brushed aside. I’ve heard numerous excuses from “you didn’t understand what I was saying” to “you don’t get it”. My members continued to be treated like second-class citizens in the eUS.

You want us to cooperate? Ok, start by not dismissing everything anyone from SFP says in Congress. Start by allowing us to speak and not trolling our threads. Listen to our ideas, try and work around it. We proposed 5% WT and that almost passed. Perhaps let’s try 10% or 12% this month? That seems like a good compromise. Compromise is a two-way street my friends. Compromise is NOT the same as conformity.

You want us to get involved? Have your CP candidates come to us for VP and CoS positions. Include us in your cabinets (and Jaden might be great at her job, but she’s not the only member of SFP). Name an SFP member your SoS or your SoD, or even USAF commander. Tyler Bubblar comes to mind as someone who did this well, but recently I haven’t seen as much of an effort.

Don’t try and censor our members on eUS forums. Wooky may be persistent, but he knows his stuff. His ideas don’t warrant a censor thread every term.

The problem is this: there are members in the eUS community that feel that associating themselves with SFP and/or BSP hurts their reputation. There are members all across the eUS that fear the backlash that could come from associating with the more “revolutionary” parties

We cannot ascend the divide between parties until this problem is addressed. Gnilraps has put this problem behind him. WildOwl has simply not.

To WildOwl, this is it. Please don’t PM me some half-ass excuse about how you couldn’t get your forum account activated, or you forgot to ask about deputy positions. I even cut you some slack and added you to our primary, even without an official request. I came to you begging to come to SFP to get our endorsement. I extended a hand to you, on multiple occasions and you simply refuse to grasp it.

Look at this eUSA! Is this not an attempt from me, the leader of SFP? Your articles have become beyond frustrating, blasting SFP for lack of cooperation/experience, etc. When you reject us, we turn inwards.

WildOwl shouldn’t be the only person I address in this article, as there are multiple people that act like such. The dismissal of anything that comes out of an SFP player’s keyboard is sad. Let us have a voice, and take my hand.

This is my hand, it’s outstretched. It’s there, but you have to take it.

Sincerely,

Tom Cauchon
SFP Revolutionary Chairman and Party President
