[RC #2] Wizard's First Rule (Sword of Truth #1) - Terry Goodkind

Day 4,979, 05:53 Published in Romania Romania by Lexutza

Hello dear readers,

Apparently I have less time than I initially anticipated for this series... and it's also morphing into "what I'm currently reading (and enjoying)" rather than the all time favorites I wanted to do initially.

I think I was in high school when I stumbled upon a TV series that I really enjoyed - Legend of the Seeker. It was high up in the favorites next to Merlin which I enjoyed so much that I actually used this topic to write my language certificate paper when I finished high school. Didn't see these series in years but I did enjoy them so if you're looking for something new to watch give them a try.

Yesterday my Kindle eReader celebrated its 6th birthday (since I got it not its factory birth) so I feel like this 2nd RC articles is only right to be in its honor. Some months ago I signed up for Amazon's 'Kindle Unlimited' subscription since my self-imposed monthly money limit on books was being continuously ignored. At some point last week or so I received an interesting book recommendation from Amazon....

Wizard's First Rule (Sword of Truth #1) - by Terry Goodkind

From the author's side about the series:
25 years in the making, 17 books published, numerous #1 New York Times bestsellers, printed in over 20 languages, and with more than 26 million books sold world-wide, 'The Sword of Truth' is a critically acclaimed masterpiece. The life work of author Terry Goodkind, 'The Sword of Truth' is an extraordinary adventure, unlike any other.

About 1st book:
When a mysterious woman, hunted by assassins, appears in Richard’s forest sanctuary, it starts a cascade of events he could never have imagined. From the first moment, he knows he must help her despite the as monumental forces conspiring to come between them.

Goodreads on 1st book:
In the aftermath of the brutal murder of his father, a mysterious woman, Kahlan Amnell, appears in Richard Cypher's forest sanctuary seeking help . . . and more.

His world, his very beliefs, are shattered when ancient debts come due with thundering violence. In a dark age it takes courage to live, and more than mere courage to challenge those who hold dominion, Richard and Kahlan must take up that challenge or become the next victims. Beyond awaits a bewitching land where even the best of their hearts could betray them. Yet, Richard fears nothing so much as what secrets his sword might reveal about his own soul. Falling in love would destroy them—for reasons Richard can't imagine and Kahlan dare not say.

In their darkest hour, hunted relentlessly, tormented by treachery and loss, Kahlan calls upon Richard to reach beyond his sword—to invoke within himself something more noble. Neither knows that the rules of battle have just changed . . . or that their time has run out.

I'm only at 33% of the 1st book and I actually have another one (physical format that is actually from a library and needs to be finished and returned soon) already ongoing ... I'm making slow progress but I'm enjoying every page! I'm only sorry I wasn't able to read when I was 1yo to have it in my hands since its launch 😛

Would you like to see articles on the following books in the series as I get to them or rather mentions of other books/series I enjoyed?
