[RB] Getting to know Raven Anarcho

Day 2,246, 16:59 Published in Ireland Cuba by Master Peaux
I've been thinking about doing my first official interview with a well-respected member of the eIrish community. So I thought, who else but Raven Anarcho? Enjoy.

Hi Mr. Anarcho. How's life treating you?
It's going well. I've just started another semester of college actually.

So, you're running for PP of the ILP. What do you want to accomplish if you win?
I've seen a few newer faces with a lot of potential. I'd like to get them more involved in politics in Ireland. Some players stay on the outside looking in and lose interest. I'd hate to see the ILP's potential go to waste. I'd also like to start appreciating our members with Comrade awards again, and get the ILP more involved with other eleftist parties, through the ecomintern.

Do you ever think you'll run for CP of eIreland?
I will when the time is right.

If you WERE CP of eIreland, what would be some of the changes you'd want to make?
I'd like to see us back in the spotlight with other nations. I tried some when I was MoFA but its tougher when you can't go too far down one path, with the alliance structure as fragile as it is. The type of national recognition for our efforts, building comradery with other nations such as we had in the EDEN days. The largest change I would hope to make would hopefully come before a CP term, that is, a babyboom. From there I'd really like to see Ireland's community expand to become more attractive to foreign writers. There are far too few here and I feel like the community aspect of the game is why most players keep playing. A babyboom would solve this problem also.

Alright, enough of the serious shit (excuse my language for the virgin-eyed eIrish out there). Let's get to know you on a personal level.

What do you do in RL? School, job, sports?

School full time and work. I work at a restaurant and a small retail outlet.

Favourite sport or professional sports team?
It's tough between football/soccer and American football. I'm a Seattle Sounders fan and a Baltimore Ravens fan. College team would be Georgia Tech.

Do you drink? If so, what?
I drink occasionally, but not so much anymore. Usually vodka, tequila. I really only care for hard ciders like Magners, my favorite, or very dry beers like Asahi.

Do you smoke? If so, what?
I smoke the reefer, alot actually.

Where are you from?
The Bible belt, or the south eastern US.

Do you enjoy living there?
I hate the South sometimes, and I hate the US sometimes, but I love the small city I'm from. I left here in the military for 5 years and came back. If I could accomplish my goals in life without ever moving, I'd gladly stay.

Do you have a favorite meal?
Given the answer to number 8, this is tough. lol But I always enjoy a good greasy breakfast from waffle house.

Have you ever seen a UFO or a ghost?
Not when I've been sober.

What TV shows do you enjoy watching?
Really been into Steven Hawkings stuff lately. I was a huge Battlestar Galactica fan a while back, and also lately I've been getting into Parks and Recreation.

Favourite book?
Probably "What is to be Done", by Nikolai Chernyshevsky. It's incredible.

What's your top 5 favourite movies?
ah hell...
1. City of God
2. Habit (1997)
3. The Stoned Age
4. Kill Bill vol. I
5. God Bless America

Who do you look up to politically?
In game, it'd be Bhane, Castenada and WHS. In RL, it's much harder to decide. If not a radical, then Robert Kennedy would be number one hands down.

Have a funny story you'd like to share about yourself?
I scored the highest in my American Economics class last semester. If that's not funny I don't know what is.

18. Anything else you'd like to share with us?
It was truly an honor to serve as Bhane's MoFA for two terms, despite the issues towards the end. I've always respected his past accomplishments and character from day one. In a military game, is there truly any larger accomplishment than wiping your much larger rival? Honestly, yes. There is. We should focus on becoming larger than our rivals. I've learned first hand this is a nearly impossible goal, but I know we can make it happen together. If we just put time and effort into it, we could make it a reality. One problem is that of all the people who wanted to stay involved with the babyboom project, out of only a handful that originally volunteered, only one RL Irishman stayed involved. This makes it extremely difficult to run such a project with only one person from this nation in RL. Everyone is different, and every nation's society and culture differ to an extent. Our attempts would hold much more potential with more RL Irish volunteers who know more about our target audience than I do. So lend a hand if your interested in joining the effort. Also, best of luck to all the candidates for PP this term. o/

Thank you for your time.
No problem 😛 Thanks for the interview.

That's all for my first official interview. If you've made it this far, feel free to leave any critiques you'd like to see me make on my articles.
