Hello again to everyone, don't worry, this will probably be the only time I will write more than one article in a day, I just need to get the bad taste of introductions out of my mouth.....yuck.
War Games
Anyways, as many of you know, war games are on today, continuing our ongoing struggle with Ireland (don't worry, I know we aren't really fighting them) I really enjoy war games, they allow for everyone to gain experience and also learn how the war/hospital system works in eRep, which is beneficial to all. I know that HR called for more war games and I am glad of that because I feel that managed well they will do nothing but help our great nation and prepare us for real war.
Hospitals
However, while I am new and I understand that there may be aspects to this issue that I do not understand, I feel that we would do nothing but benefit as a country from having at least a Q2 hospital in each state. As it stands now, at 14:03 eRep time, 4, FOUR of our states don't even have a hospital of any kind. This is unacceptable, especially considering that some of the states with no hospitals have higher populations then the ones with Q1 hospitals. Many of our Q1 hospital states have larger populations than those with Q2 or even Q3 hospitals! I know, I know, hospitals are expensive and we would like to spend our nation's money on the military, but it would seem that with a stronger infrastructure, with more high quality hospitals available to all citizens in ALL states, we would be able to field a more efficient military that would be able to do more damage in the long run.

Nice article, voted!
If all the citizens in states with hospitals under Q4, it would be cheaper than buying better hospitals.
And then we would have an even stronger wall in the strategically important states.
What does war games cost the government? If anything?
It costs maybe 100 gold to attack a region. USA and a small handful of allies are funding the attacks because theres no way Ireland could afford it.
Its just a nice way to gain experience for both sides.
WahooBob thanx
100G,, that's kinda hefty
lucky we have some allies chip'n in
Has anybody ever estimated the beneficial costs from such exercise?
I assume we are gaining here?
Good article. Nice work.
Well, there are multiple benefits from the wargames, and they trade off with some negitave things.
Economically:
Good - Wellness is high, thus productivity is high. Companies can make more goods for less coin. Also more gold in the US economy because citizens can level up faster with an extra 10 exp per day.
Bad - Citizen spending on food, gifts, and housing drops because they can get a free 10 wellness from the hospital by fighting 4 times instead of 5.
Militarily:
Good - The constant fighting quickly raises the military levels of our citizens at home. The difference between one military level to the next is equal to the difference between using Q1 and Q2 weapons. It also ensures that our citizens all know how to fight in eRepublik in case we ever fight a real war from the homefront.
Bad - If our enemies were to attack during a wargame battle, the majority of our population would be unable to defend the nation if they had already participated in the wargame. Also, the private stockpiles of weapons are lower because some are being used in the games
All in all, it balances out on paper. If our citizens fight smart, though, it can be a huge advantage. In fact, it works so well when citizens are educated that PEACE even copied us by opening wargames in South America.
How can you fight smart? First, wait to fight until the last possible moment. For some people, that may be 23:55. For others, it may be much earlier in the day. By waiting until you are about to log off for the day, you ensure that you are able to fight in a more important battle if one were to open up.
Secondly, if you are going to buy your own weapons, be smart with your purchase. Don't spend all your money, its only war games. Purchase only Q1 weapons, they provide just 20% less power than Q2 but often cost nearly half as much.
thank you WahooBob
I appreciate your response
>If our citizens fight smart, though, it can be a huge advantage.<
That’s becoming more evident to me more & more everyday
War games cost ~ 62g.
Thanks for the clarification Mr. President, I think we really just need to educate people more on how to fight smart.
Thanks this helps a lot. I just fought in my first war game
Also, it's much smarter to place Q5's than multiple Q1's.
