Mood Music: Have you seen it?

I’ve been having some discussions today about why I’m supporting rainy sunday for President of the eUnited States. I made a comment yesterday on my article that one of my biggest issues with Deepchill’s run is his statement regarding Presidential Media:

I feel like as a former two-term President I can speak fairly adequately on the importance of communication from the Executive to the people. What Deepchill says to me, in that post, is that he either feels inadequate as a communicator and will avoid it instead, or, that he doesn’t consider it an important enough idea to be personally involved in.

I like to think that my Executive was one of the more open ones in recent times. I instituted the Daily Press Releases to give an overview of the daily operations of the government. I also made it a point, even while campaigning heavily for my second term, to release a State of the Union article each week. I made a commitment to ensuring that the eAmerican people knew why I was doing what I was doing. To put that responsibility onto the media department in the same way that Oblige has this month is troublesome to me.

rainy sunday has not exactly been active in the media in recent days. This obviously puts a bit of a kink in my argument against Deepchill. What strikes me about rainy though, is her genuine care for our nation on the citizens therein. I know that while she hasn’t outright said it, she wants the citizens of our nation to hear her, to know what she’s doing. If through the course of things, someone else has to get her message out due to RL, that’s one thing. But to blatantly state that the duty should rightly fall to another does not sit well with me.

rainy sunday is meant to be the President of the eUnited States.

I believe in the sun, even though it is slow in rising.
I believe in you, without realizing.
I believe in rain, though there are no clouds in the sky.
I believe in truth, even though people lie.
I believe in peace, though sometimes I am violent.
I believe in rainy sunday, even though she is silent.

If the eUnited States had a mother, it would be rainy sunday. Let’s put our nurturing mother in the White House in December and let her care for us as she always has.

Dio bless you, and Dio bless the eUnited States of America.
