Weekly Bulletin

• With peace with Iran passed we’ve now got our 100% bonuses in Scotland back. Rejoice! We should hopefully have an extra training war with Mexico in their cores soon too.

• Usual reminder that Gov subsidy is linked to respecting other players’ medal runs, currently whoever's first at 20k in Air and 80m in D4. Lower divs doing their daily order will always take priority.

• Try to WIN defending campaigns and LOSE attacks, though we don’t need to secure each battle 'correctly'. A longer campaign means more medals for us and our partners.

Ebrietas very nearly got our first bullseye just over in Belize; with Bay Jee’s tactic of staying put in the Virgin Islands paying off with the runner up’s consolation. Very well played gents!

Clue’s in the title! Here we’ll have someone each week tell us a bit about themselves and give 3 ‘facts’ - one of which is a lie. Another £10k pot split between the correct guesses.

This week we have our own Constitutional Monarch - Woldy Rex himself! Good luck folk!

“Hello!

My name is Mr Woldy, and I have worn a great many hats in e-life. I have been playing since 2009 (sounds horrifying to say out loud!) and have covered all sorts of roles in Congress, government, in alliances and so on. I was fortunate enough to be held in high enough regard to be made King of the eUK back in the days when we would write ourselves legislation and formalised the royal family. For those interested, the idea started as an attempt to gain attention outside of the game to seek more players or even an auspicious baby boom! Celebrities such as Stephen Fry preceded me as honorary Kings, but eventually it was decided it should be a community role. There was several rounds of votes and public engagement and I was lucky enough to be awarded the title. For years I ran games and competitions and still give hands out and advice to people who ask!

I also was the lucky recipient of loads of dictator medals! This was because the eUK decided it would have it's own dictator to repel any chance of coups and my impartial role as king segued nicely into someone who would arbitrate goverment-as-usual and do what was asked by actual elected people. As such I was dictator for a year-ish, and may have been one of eReps longest sitting dictators (or the longest, I haven't checked!).

These days I lurk about in Congress and keep a generally lower profile, standing up for the house of commons and generally trying to represent those of us who (gulp) don't manage to log in every day. Sorry anyone who votes for me!

I am sure before long I'll get around to running a few games again, and maybe become more active. But I'm at a good equilibrium right now and things are very smooth in eUK politics so... the old guard doesn't need to do too much. 😉

So here’re my ‘facts’:

A. I have an over 700 day streak on a popular owl based language app, from lessons in french, Japanese and Welsh - I am in the top 5% of learners! (Gweiadur!)

B. Whilst on holiday in Austria, I was fortunate enough to make use of Mozart's toilet! It was very comfortable (it has been renovated).

C. I am Essex's best (afaic) dungeon master, with over 1400 hours of roll20 time clocked up (other tabletops are available). Happy to clarify any rules for you.
