[Presidential Address] Peace!

Day 2,380, 16:24 Published in Canada Canada by DMV3

My Fellow eCanadians,

I am happy to announce that we will begin winding down hostilities with the eUS. For the last month we have focused on freedom and I am happy to say it looks as though the eUS government is willing to come to a peaceful resolution at this time. This is the result of a month long dialogue between our two nations.

There is no formal deal in place, as much as there is an understanding that peace is in the best interest of both of our nations at the present time. This allows both sides greater flexibility and also a chance to build back a level trust between our two nations. While technically either side could decide to resume hostilities at anytime, it is the intention of this government to resume a peaceful existence between our two nations. While we may no longer be allies, it is my belief that we need no longer be enemies.

It is the hope of this government that the people of eCanada will stand behind this government's efforts to normalize relations with our southern neighbors. Our governments are still talking and I will notify the eCanadian people of any new developments as soon as I am able.

I would personally like to thank my cabinet, the eCanadian people, and our allies for their support during this war. Without you all standing with me we would not have been nearly as successful this month. I would also like to thank the eUS government and their citizens for working with us to make peace a priority for our peoples. I know we still have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am proud that both sides desire to move on from this conflict.
