Join the new world

The newspaper Flamman (the Flame) has moved from the snowy north of Europe, to the sunny south, from bears and salmons to koalas and kangaroos. We followed our editor, Frida Odinsdottir, so we think it is not more than appropriate that we give you a background on who she is.

Backgroun😛

Frida was born in the eSwedish region of Bohus on the lords day of 650 of the new world. She decided early to become a carpenter, and started working with building houses. Quite early she joined the union (Svenska Facket) and learned how to calculate what a proper wage should be. She learned that from comrades in the eSwedish party Folket (the People). Already after a month of active participation, she became leader of the party, which post she remained on for two months.

Folket is a far left party, which focus most on two issues: workers right to good wages and anti-imperialism. In eSweden the anti-imperialism isn´t very popular point of view, as eSweden is a part of Eden and people are very exited about the ideas on conquering eGermany...

She was also a part of the regular army of eSweden, as well as a member of the government. Both theese things ended when she felt she couldn´t support the militaristic policy of the country. She left both, voluntarily.



Why Frida moved to eAustralia:

After being really active in the eSwedish politics for quite some time, she felt it was time for a re-start. She read about how gifts actually sometimes could be cheaper than food, and decided that it was time to try something new! She started her company, named eRep Gifting Service. A quite unique company, that doesn´t sell gifts, but the service of gifting.

When she started that, she realized that it could be hard to be a businesswoman and at the same time be a member of the parliament for a far left party. So she started to think about leaving the party. Then she realized that gifts in eSweden where quite expensive. So, what to do, what to do? Well, why don´t move to the warm and nice Australia?

Said and done- of she moved! We succeeded in getting a few comments from her about her move:

FlammanHi, Frida, how come you moved to eAustralia, there are closer countries with cheap gifts?
Frida: Well, they can not compete with eAustralia in many other things - the climate, a language I at least understand to a descent level and of course an exiting culture!

Flamman:What do you know about Australia and eAustralia?
Frida:*smiling* Well, not enough, I would say! One of my favourite TV-shows of all times are the old "Flying doctors" and I guess, that isn´t really a documentary movie... Otherwise I know it is a huge land with dangerous animals like giant ants and other things! If we are talking about eAustralia, my primary concern is that it is not a member of either Phoenix or EDEN. That is good!

Flamman:What do you think about eAustralia so far? What is best/worst?
Frida:The best is that it seems to be a quite friendly country, with good discussions, what I have seen on the forum. My biggest problem is to get used with the time differense! eRep 00.00 is 09.00 AM in Sweden and around 07.00 PM in Australia. That makes everything a bit difficult, because the "prime active houres" for you guys, is when I am at work... I will find a way to addapt i guess!

Flamman:We have heard that you have applied for citizenship? Don´t you think that your history as an anti-patriot is working against you? Who wants "a dam communist" in their country?
Frida: I have always been a patriot. I would never live in a country I do not put value in! However, it is a complete different thing to defend the leaders imperialism... It is also a fact that I am beginning to loose a litle of my radical view on imperialism. War is an important part of eRepublik, and as long as it doesn´t go to far, I actually would like to be a loyal part of ACUK.

Flamman:Any last words to the people of your new country?
Frida:Well, thank you all for being nize when I ask stupid questions, and be sure you will se a lot more of me when I learned to understand your society better!
