Hello eAmerica,
It is with a sad heart I write this. My mother passed away yesterday and I have been busy setting up my travel plans and making final arrangements to lay her to rest.
I am not sure how long I will be fully away, a few days for sure. I have the utmost faith in my Vice President, GoalieBCSC, to run the ship alongside the cabinet while I am away from my computer. He and the cabinet have my complete and total confidence. Nobody can say they chose their VP as they knew this would come, but I did pick Goalie because I believe him to be completely capable to handle anything should there be a need.
Obviously, at this time the real world is far more important. I wish this had come at a different time, hell.. honestly I wish it had never come, but I need to travel to take care of family arrangements. Goalie, Inwegen, Speedcat, others all have my number for dire emergencies. Otherwise, they are all capable of running the nation alongside the cabinet, JCS, and congress and will be making decisions on my behalf.. Hell, Inwegen has done it numerous times under various presidents. I trust them all and believe they will make decisions that are the same choices I would make. They will make decisions as a group. I believe they and those surrounding them are some of the best minds in the nation and there will be no stutter step in our stride, America.
