[POTUS] I love Senry, basically.

Day 3,345, 14:59 Published in USA USA by fingerguns

Greetings, Americans! Man, it’s been awhile since I last posted something. It is very unlike me to go so long without publishing an article, but I have been told that I post so frequently that it’s just become white noise, so I pulled back a bit. Also I’ve been busy. But mostly the first thing.

So the first couple weeks of this term have been… frustrating to say the least. The one thing everyone seems to agree on is that we need a good target. We need something that we can get excited about. We need something to fight for. I got together with my War Council and we started dreaming up targets. We put a lot of work in and floated, what I believe, was a great proposal. Unfortunately it didn’t pan out, so now we’re working on coming up with another plan. I’ll admit, we’re dragging our feet a little. It’s hard to move on when you put so much work into the first plan and made every effort to ensure it would be equitable and agreeable to all involved only to have it shut down. Yui and Kody did a really great job and I’m sad that we aren’t going to enjoy the fruits of their labor. I know they are going to bounce back, though, and come up with something good for us. I believe in them.

Jimmy Cincinnati has really impressed me with how quickly he’s jumped into DoCA. He’s been putting together articles and conducting interviews with people he wouldn’t normally ever speak to because they are the right people for what we need. That’s always a tricky thing to have to cross lines and mend burned bridges, but his willingness to do it has been a pleasant surprise. If you’ve never had the pleasure of working with Jimmy before, he’s really good at taking an idea and just running with it...like before you have even finished your thought he has already set wheels in motion. I’m really glad to have him on board and I’m looking forward to more of his articles coming out.

The last week has been great for education, in general. The media has had a number of articles explaining different areas of the game that people are probably the most interested in, but have the least amount of experience with. Both planning wars and then executing the actual mechanics in-game to make war happen is something few of us get to be involved in, especially in a Dictatorship. If this is the sort of thing that interests you, soak up what these heavy hitters are putting out there and let us know that you want to get involved.

Big props to Senry, who is involved in this government at almost every level. He knows all of the ins and outs and is quick to help. His advice to the foreign affairs team has been invaluable and he’s done a great job setting the orders and publishing regularly so everyone knows what is going on. He’s also tackled some of the supply distributions in rainy’s absence to make sure everyone has weapons who needs them. This guy is an all-star and, no offense to anyone else in my cabinet, but he’s basically irreplaceable. Shit just would not run without him.

That’s it for right now. I’m putting the finishing touches on THE WHEEL to have an end of term extravaganza. We’re still focused on getting these articles out there and plotting wars and such. If there is something you definitely want to know more about, whether it’s meta or mechanics, let us know! We have more things in the works, but these are really for you guys, so throw a question out there and we’ll tackle it.

Love ya,
