[PotUS] Day 5 Progress Report

Greetings my fellow citizens of the eUSA from the Oval Office. I am writing this article to give you all a report on what we are doing in the Executive. I campaigned on reviving the Domestic Departments. I wanted to build a team of passionate individuals from a diverse background. It is my firm belief that we have succeeded in that thus far. In truth we have succeeded beyond even my most optimistic expectations. Have you all seen the articles published by Wilker Nath, King Taco, Max, and SColbert? There are too many to link. They are not just churning out articles, they are creating new programs with prizes and at the moment paying for them out of their own pockets. We are working with Congress to get them to fund some of these efforts and at the moment a vote is currently ongoing to do so.

One of the new programs we are attempting to bring to you is a National CoOp. This will allow those willing to pool resources to provide food and weapons while also expanding their industrial base. SFP has been successfully running a Party CoOp for a very long time. The funds will be held on a National Org and will be under the Purview of the Department of Citizen Affairs. As there is a long more than bitter history regarding government infrastructure on private accounts this will be funded initially by private donations. Plato if you could un-neuter orgs in regards to infrastructure that would be amazing. While you are at it maybe now would be a good time to give us the changes you promised 4 years ago. Local government module, does that sound familiar at all? The main obstacle to setting this program up at present is very few of our citizens can work as managers, and our bonuses have been shot to hell. Which brings me to.



The current Geopolitical situation. As you no doubt have noticed the eUSA has visitors. Serbia, Iran, and Indonesia landed on our shores last month. Indonesia thanks to our friends in South Korea cut their adventures here in the eUSA a little short and have left us destination unknown. That leaves Serbia and Iran. I have received a lot of messages and read a lot of comments asking about the invasion and our plans regarding it. I will do my best to explain what we are doing without violating confidences or outing negotiations that are ongoing. To start I will be blunt: there is not a military solution to this situation. Our Alliance CODE is boycotting packs for this month and have instructed the CPs of its member nations to spend this month focusing on the community. My team and I were always going to do that, but I did raise the point that without a balanced plan in place bread and circuses will only go so far. I was more than a little amused to see my predecessor raise that very same point later that day. The eUSA does not have the firepower to evict our guests. With CODE taking this month to make a point to Plato as I said there is not a path to a military victory. So the State Department (Pimpdollaz, Shiloh13, Aerisidius) and I have reached out to the governments of Serbia, Iran, and Canada in order to reach a diplomatic solution. Once we have more details and have reached a consensus we will approach Congress with options for a solution.

As a positive the government of Iran and I are starting from a place of mutual trust and respect. They were involved in the 3 million cc situation that helped define my last term as President. As such I know and they know that we are people who bargain in good faith and keep to our word. There were some who argued giving Iran 3 million cc would just strengthen their funds they could use to MTO the eUSA. I trusted them to keep their word and they did. After they were repaid the cc taken from them they peacefully departed. As for Serbia we are not their main target. Serbia has been historically the number one adversary of the eUSA on the world stage, but I highly doubt we even make their top 5 in that category. As for Canada they just want to be left alone by their neighbors to the South.

The ultimate goal here is to restore full bonuses so we can get back to being productive, have in place TWs for the farming of TP damage and BH gold, provide the eUSA a stable secure geopolitical position, and provide wars that are more than just a back and forth ping pong. I am very pleased and proud of the explosion of activity my team has provided, but I do understand that we need to provide economic and military stability. I have 4 holdings with companies. All of them are currently in occupied states. Those factories help fund AmeriCare. I am very much aware of the inconveniences you all are experiencing. I am in this with you.
