[POTEUS] Let's Do the Time Warp Again (Decoder Ring Inside!)

Or wait, maybe that's Arlo Guthrie. In any case, I am the ePresident and it's been a while since I last addressed you, so let's get started.

Month in Review

We're coming up on the end of my first month in office in 2022, and I want to talk about what's gone well and what needs to be improved.

Successes

First I want to reflect on how effective and transparent. Tito Magnus, Arrden, and the Interior Department have been this month.

We've both been able to both publicize our existing programs, audit the effectiveness of the programs in use, as well as successfully work with Congress to introduce the the Aerial Bombing Supply Program (or ABS, because we're really creative here in egovernment) which will distribute Q5 Air Weapons during specific Real War eUS battles. You can read more about it here. Also we made a new Interior logo featuring the glorious return of the Interior Buffalo.

Additionally, I want to thank Pfenix Quinn, our SecMed extraordinaire, and every member of the eUnited States who took up my request to publish and generally be active. One reason I was late in writing this article is because I didn't want to compete with a vibrant top 5 in media. And beyond media, our parties are actively campaigning and recruiting, a huge benefit for new and old players alike. The votes in our congressional elections were high, and community engagement is thriving even during normally stagnant summer months. I'm not taking all the credit here, but I'm proud of our community this month nonetheless.

I also want to highlight the work Kody, Voots, Thee Dude, and Patanok have done to help this term be a success in coördinating our many training wars and the successes we have had this month in Korea, Venezuela, and more. Even as I have made occasional missteps as I adjusted to the state of being President in 2022, they have helped catch me and ensured our successes vastly outnumber my mistakes.

Needs Improvement

We've all been here too long to be dishonest with each other so I also want to talk about where this and future administrations could improve. First there have been a few logistical issues, such as me flubbing a few training wars and communication with Congress, which I want to say: it's been an adjustment for me for sure and I am grateful for all of your patience. I feel like despite my preparation, there is a certain level of understanding that requires experience and at the end of this month I am only just starting to feel as confident about the minutiae of this job.

Additionally, one of my campaign promises was to have a strong Department of Fun. Now, this is a game, and my Secretary of Fun, Harvey, unfortunately has had real life issues that come first. Still, I am the President and I should have stepped in to make sure that part of my program got accomplished.

And you know what? I don't want to leave anything unfinished, so that leads us to the next part of this article: I'm running for reëlection and I would be honored to have your support.



Proteus4Poteus 2.0: We're just getting started

I've been honored to be your President this past month, so honored that I want to do it again.

I want to keep up the energy, leverage what I've learned, and do everything I didn't get to, and do it right.




I know in the past second and third and fourth terms have devolved into a lack of energy, and I want to promise that that won't be me. If anything, I'll up the energy. More articles, more programs, more community, and more fun.

So that's my platform: I want a chance to fulfill everything I promised you and help keep up the momentum we have found. My cabinet is remaining the same, with the exception that I will be announcing a new Secretary of Fun to support Harvey and ensure we can make August something special. Still, if you want to be involved in *any* capacity at all, message me immediately! The eUS government needs you. And if you want to run for President in the future, get involved! It's fun! And we want you, yes you, to join the cabinet.
