Day 364, 16:22 Published in USA USA by sirgermono

So, as I read the article regarding the newly re-released Congressional Elections Module, I got to thinking, why? Why are we limited to this? The thoughts that popped into my head include the following:

1. Why must we be relegated to this democratic form of government throughout the whole game? Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the staunchest supporters of democracy ever, but if Russia, if it ever gains its independence, wants to become a demi-Soviet state, why should they be relegated to having to try and keep that each time an election rolls around. Different types of governments should be allowed in eRepublik.

2. Why a month? This would probably be one of the simplest things to fix. The people (or congress, or the controlling party, if my idea above goes through) should be allowed to choose how long their elected officials stay in office per term.

3. Why this size of government? Personally, I believe that there should be the ability for the people to choose how many congressmen are allowed. Maybe two for the most populous areas, or three... and maybe we should be able to choose how much government there is. Maybe instead of just a one house congress, we go to two, as in Real Life.

4. Finally, if a region that is part of its original country wants to break off, they should be able to. I mean, wee had the civil war, as have many countries, France had a revolution, maybe that could be shown by a new government starting, breaking off, then invading the rest of the old country to create this new country. If this wants to be a truly great simulation of the world, this should probably be implemented. Now, to avoid naming issues, the admins would either approve names, or, the leaders of the revolt would choose from a series of options "The Republic of Siberia" or "The Socialist States of Australia" I don't know, the possibilities are endless.

Just some thoughts. Comment below on what you think. Thanks for reading.
