[PnPP] Dare to dream just a little bit?

Day 1,158, 18:26 Published in New Zealand Turkey by Manny Calavera

This is going to be a long one, so bare with me! I began my elife in the UK. One of the first things I did after getting a job, working, training, and buying food was to PM the CP, who at that time was GLaDOS. The advice that he gave me then was to join a party, IRC, and the forums and talk to as many people as I could. Needless to say I was very overwhelmed when I did this as there was so much information and I didn’t have a clue what most people were talking about. Then I joined the Royal Navy. The lieutenant of my ship at the time, and eventually the CO of all eUK military forces was a guy by the name of Tom Morgan. Tom had been playing for a couple of weeks longer than me, but had learned so much in that time and soon enough we became very good friends. Tom got me involved in the forums, where I started to banter with people that I met on the different threads. I just wanted to say that Tom Morgan was a great leader in the eUK military, and will be sorely missed. Come back soon mate. Looking back I think that joining a political party and their forum was the best step to learning about this game and all that it has to offer.

Political parties are a dime a dozen in this game. There are some that border on the insane (The Spamicans for example… Yes, I was a member) and then there are some that agree with your personal ideologies. You can even be a communist. It really doesn’t matter if you think about it, as long as you get involved and make yourself known! I initially joined the TUP (The Unity Party), which was and still is the biggest political party in the eUK. I won’t lie when I say that I felt very overwhelmed. There were so many people and everyone seemed so into politics that I really didn’t feel like I mattered. I jumped from TUP to many different parties over the months, but none of them really made me feel at home. I eventually stopped playing and Xanthar Zaiban died after the introduction of V2.

When my real life job finally started to become normal again, I realized that I had missed eRepublik and I started playing again. I saw that eRepublik was nothing like it had been when I first started playing and that my real life country, eNew Zealand had been added to the game. I contacted Tom to tell him that I was back, and that I was moving to eNew Zealand. He told me that I would come back to the eUK, but I am happy to say that I’m not going anywhere! I contacted the CP, who at the time was Calbe, the first CP of eNew Zealand. I told him that I was a real life Kiwi and that I was coming home and I would need citizenship. He told me that he was a RL Kiwi too, and gave me the names of some other RL kiwis, guys you may or may not know such as: Carr de Vaux, Crusadercarl, and Spud of Doom. I never expected the kind of welcome that I received from these three players, and I wouldn’t have a clue as to what I would do if they weren’t the kind of people that they are. I will forever be grateful to them for all of their help and support.

Here is the part of the article that you need to pay attention, ok? First things first, I joined a party, and after doing some scouting or research if you will, I joined the Peace ‘n’ Prosperity Party. I joined the forums right after I joined the party and didn’t think twice about it until the congressional elections came around and I saw that both Spud of Doom and Crusadercarl were running for Congress. I knew that they were both impressive on the battlefield, but I had no idea that they were in the political scene as well. That was the day that I applied to join the PnPP page on the forum and as soon as I got access I started responding to threads. Soon after that I started spending time on IRC and talking to then Party President, Albert Neurath. I got to know Albert fairly well on IRC, and he hinted at the fact that it doesn’t matter who you are, everyone has a say in this party, and you can do anything that you want as long as you have the drive, determination, and discipline to be what you want to be. That is the beauty of eRepublik as far as I am concerned. It doesn’t matter if you are the richest guy in the world, or you live in a crappy apartment in the middle of the New York City, or a farm in the Rhine. You be whatever and whoever you want!

I have met so many wonderful people in the Peace ‘n’ Prosperity Party that I hesitate to list them all, as I don’t want to leave anyone out, but I will try anyway: The current Party PresidentMarcos Arolia, the former Party PresidentBristel Akina, former Party Secretary Michal Lodziana 1, former congress member Baumeister, who many of you know as Bedi Vere, and last not but not least, the current Party Secretary, and my boss at the Ministry of Education, Oboacer. Every one of these members has been instrumental in my progression and development in this game. They all have something different to offer, whether it’s just simple advice, experience, or the ability to listen to me whine! I feel like the PnPP members have made this game a different experience for me and I am grateful for having the privilege to have meet them all! PnPP is a party that wants a free democratic nation with an economy to match any other nation in the eWorld. I believe that this is possible with the assortment of people from all other enations, who now call themselves Kiwis. I have written a number of articles, some have been contradictory, some have been accusatory, and some have been educational. If you want to be greater than you could possibly ever imagine and you dare to dream just a little bit, I suggest coming to the PnPP and just saying hi. We can be found on Rizon IRC at #pnpp. The Peace ‘n’ Prosperity Party, where you just may be surprised at which dreams may come true! As always, thanks for reading.
