[Phoenix]Official Statement on Hacking

Day 991, 12:59 Published in Hungary China by Donnie Bronco
Dear citizens of Phoenix,

Friday evening (Erepublik Time), we saw battlefields open from some of our largest and most strategically located countries. When they happened, they caught everyone off guard, including EDEN and Phoenix Command, as the attacks just didn't make any sense. There's no reason Serbia would attack anyone around it, just like there was no reason for Hungary to attack Serbia, Slovenia to hit Croatia, UK to hit every region they bordered, and so on. Upon researching the issue, we found that Presidents from many larger Phoenix Countries were hacked, battles opened, and MPP stacks deleted.

Obviously, not one single EDEN country was affected directly with this. In fact, it was beneficial to EDEN. Apparently, they dislike losing, I suppose. Just 4 hours after Podolia ends, madness broke lose. According to the Polish President, they don't like losing, so they won't wait until Monday to go after Podolia, which they know they won't get if we have the MPP stacks they activated back on Hungary's side.

Let's just say I've got it on decent information that chances are, if you choose to go for Podolia, the battle will be closed and reversed. If you feel like wasting your country's gold, then please be my guest. I'm guessing you're going to need all the gold you can get when you finally try to liberate Liaoning so I'd strongly suggest against it, but hey, it's your money.

The rest of Phoenix will wait properly until our countries are fixed on Monday, as they should be (including Nord Norge being returned to the UK and the Finnish war being closed, so don't get any neat ideas ^.^).

Poland and EDEN, the ball is in your court. I can remember when Gaius Julius was hacked, the battles closed, and MPPs fixed, yet you somehow expect everyone to forget that. Perhaps our memories are longer than you think, or perhaps you can't beat us in a straight fight merely because you chose to activate MPPs for months, while we laughed at you. Who knows.

Sincerely,
The Entirety of Phoenix
