~ Official Aplogy to Derek Harland, and eCanada ~
1ronman
Lately, there have been two major issues that have arisen around me. The first being around bonds. A long time ago, I was dubbed "Canada's Silent Guardian", which I took on as the name of my newspaper. But, in the last few days, I believe I let down eCanada in that sense. I took away younger users' ability to purchase bonds, and essentially prevented them from opening their own businesses, or newspapers, or simply buying food to maintain high wellness. While I was in my fullest rights, legally, to buy the bonds, I wasn't ethically. And, I have come to realize that, but unfortunately in the process I have caused financial anguish towards some. For that reason, I have withdrawn my remaining 250g in bonds to open up room for others. I hope Dalyath will join me, and do the same.
Secondly, I'd like to extend an apology to Derek Harland. There was a lot of he did that, but he said that, and she did that. But, this is a game, and I'd just like Derek to know, that I didn't mean to be hostile with him at all. Unfortunately, I cannot release further details as this topic is within Closed Door Congress.

1ronman just be like Citizen B and release that ish, you'll only get a spanking!
Hell, the AG and MoJ probably won't even pursue charges against you!
An apology is always a good step. Seems like you are doing the right thing by freeing up the bonds 🙂
Thank you.... Its about time people started to respect the spirit of things and not the loop holes in every dam law... You just earned a whole lot of respect from me.... I hope more start to respect the spirit of things and not the crappy written laws!
..............
Are you ready?
Saltydog, the AG had nothing to do with that, as there was none, so kindly refrain from criticizing someone who does not exist.
For those who aren't aware:
Acacia Mason = Attorney General
Ayeshan Dakseus = Minister of Justice
Voted for apologies. Good stuff to see, and very rare these days.
I still love you bro.
Saltydog
Again, as I was not the AG there was no way for me to act.
Kindly have the facts before you falsely accuse.
Cheers,
Acacia
Where's his 4000 CAD fine?
To Acacia and Ayeshan:
You silly boys! I "accused" you of inaction in the future, based on inaction in the past. So really, I didn't accuse you of anything - I asserted that inaction would be the result on the part of AG + MoJ if 1ronman went as far as leaking closed-door information.
....just like what happened with Citizen B, where he was given a slap on the wrist outside of the judiciary.
Hey what was Citizen B's party again? DAL?
What's Ayeshan's party again? DAL?
What was Derek Harland's party again? DAL?
What was Acacia Mason's most former party again? DAL?
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
HMMMMMMMMMMMM
Your just looking for a scandal where there is no scandal to be found.
If 1ronman breaks the law he will be subject to its execution. Trying to make this a political issue only makes you look silly and desperate and neither look good on you Salty.
If you have concerns take them to the judiciary and lets see if the same system you presently attack agrees with your opinions.
lol that's when you can tell when a system doesn't function correctly, when the people that run it brand "criticism" as "attack"
Salty
Again...if you wish to criticize do so constructively. What your doing is merely trying to start a fire. Again, I direct you to the judiciary where you can express your concerns OR get elected to Congress where you can shape the same system you seem to find inadequate.
I have nothing further.
Stating facts = "starting a fire"?
Or is it that stating facts which paint your office negatively constitutes "starting a fire" when it's YOU in OFFICE?
The probability lies with the latter.
As is plainly obvious, I play eRepublik - I have no use for 3rd-party forums that have no rule-based bearing on the game I play (eRepublik).
If you have concerns take them to the judiciary and lets see if the same system you presently attack agrees with your opinions.
Yeah, great plan. Bring it to the judiciary so they can make up their own rules on the spot and give you a "fair" trial.
1ronman you're a class act.
"As is plainly obvious, I play eRepublik - I have no use for 3rd-party forums that have no rule-based bearing on the game I play (eRepublik)."
This one.
"Unfortunately, you have been removed by Acacia Mason from his friends list.
Let it be known that Acacia Mason is so averse to any form of reasonable, factual criticism that he sees fit to childishly stop being "friends" with someone. It's good that the leaders of our institutions are able to rise above their own image in order to do what's best for eCanada.
He's not my friend either 🙁
Good on ya, 1ronman. This will allow more citizens a chance to benefit from the bonds.
So 1ronman needs to either join DAL or pay 4000 CAD? Now that's a strategy!
1ronman, I know it can be difficult to offer up a public apology. Good on you!
v+s. good news
Wow. I don't even know what you're talking about, and this article screams "corruption!!!"
Sounds like a bond program needs to be eliminated *immediately*.
1ronman is already a long term DAL member, Dycey.
So he already paid his dues.
😉
Very nice gesture 1ronman, I'm impressed.
I am disappointed that a majority of my fellow congressmen didn't follow your lead and vote to compel the Prime Minister to rescind the executive order. That would have been the "ethical" thing to do.
Regardless, legally there has been no offence.
Why does everyone have to bitch about everything? Just enjoy the game, for crissakes!
fight the power!
Saltydog, you're one to comment. Receiving stolen property and holding on to it, rather than quickly return it to the Canadian Government. You broke the law.
Yeah, as a Congressmen, apparently I broke the so-called law as well. Allegedly, I divulged some economic information from Closed Door Congress. Information that should have never been posted there in the first place, and was quickly moved to Open Door Congress for all to see. The Speaker of Congress, Jacobi (not a DAL member), saw fit not to punish me for this, because of the extremely minor circumstances. I was still punished by Derek Harland (a member of DAL), and punished by Fram (a member of DAL), simply because as a Minister, they were able to punish me. So, because I AM A MEMBER OF DAL, I was punished. And by the way, did I mention that the harmless information allegedly was only posted to Closed Door Congress only to hide it from the public and was quickly made public by the Admnistration & the Speaker. I allegedly divulged it to protect the Canadian People. Why did you hold onto the stolen money? To blackmail Canada? What's your answer?
Saltydog, stop trying to put together phony conspiracies and scandals simply because you hold a grudge about being punished for your criminal activities.
(For the record, 1Ronman broke no laws, and has the class to write this article; unlike yourself.)
Citizen B
Dear Citizen B,
As you will note, I have never been charged with any offense or crime by any Minister of Justice (in this case, Ayeshan Dakseus).
Why? 2 reasons:
1) There was no law to charge me with. Receiving a donation in-game that did not stem from coercion is entirely legal, both within eRepublik and by the "laws" of eCanada.ws forums.
2) I am not a member of the ecanada.ws forums, therefore any "laws" dictated as part of its terms of service cannot apply to me. Thus, even if a "law" did exist for me to have broken, I could not be considered as under the jurisdiction of the "court" on the ecanada.ws forums.
On the other hand, you broke the explicit rules of Congress and were punished for it outside of the law - your boss reprimanded you without going through the courts.
You are the one who has been found to have broken the "law", not I.
Those are the facts, in public for all to see. I encourage you to ask Ayeshan Dakseus for further information if you feel I've made an error.
Moreover, if you would like to charge me for an offense, I would challenge you to do so publicly.
Moreover, the following can attest to the fact that the monies freely donated to me were transferred into government accounts in good faith:
- Derek Harland (President at the time)
- Chucky Norris (CAF High Command, former President at the time)
- Ayeshan Dakseus (Minister of Justice)
I'm sure you know Derek, he was the boss that punished you for breaking Congressional rules when you leaked closed-door information.
😁 oh snap.
and I thought Iran is a crazy country to live in!!!!!You guys do not stop attacking each other every single day and fight as if this game is the real deal!!! I wonder how u act in your every day lives!
One person apologizes for a mistake and hell breaks loose.......
OMG......unbelievable. Have a little bit of respect for each other
oh snap x2
A very respectable act. Kudos.
\o/
Thanks! Your a great guy 1ronman!
Dislike.
It's fricken capitalism.
If you can buy the bonds full price, then go for it. Maybe they shouldn't be so strong if you want to lower there demand.
Why are there still bonds. WW3 is over!
zina80--welcome to ecanada
1ronman--class act to take the high road rather then fight, bicker and argue over something like this
i don't get what his "aplogy" to derek harland is for.
