[NZ] Regarding the NZDF and Pakistan

In Regards to the Paki-Indian Conflict

Since certain individuals prefer to break OPSEC, disregard procedure, and immediately set to public conspiracy theories rather than pursuit of answers via civilised conversation, I shall address this here. Before starting, though, I need to announce something called OPSEC. Soldiers are not to talk about their military orders in public; if there is an issue, they are to take it up in the military channels. This is standard procedure in the many of militaries of the New World.

A few days ago, the NZDF approached me with an offer by Pakistan to allow our forces to get some free experience and practice in battle. While the New Zealand Defence Force is small and new, and unable to pack too much of a punch just yet (especially when fighting alongside MPPs such as Serbia) (though soon the Sun will never set on the Kiwi Empire), it was a gesture of goodwill towards our nation to get some free practice with deploying troops in. After consulting with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, my two deputies, and various other members of the Cabinet on IRC and on the forum, we decided to accept the offer to allow soldiers to deploy there in exchange for free supplies for our forces.

Apart from the fact that our soldiers were receiving free practice even though they won't make too much of a difference in the field, this also was a big step in improving relations and creating a stronger bond with nations such as the United States and those within the Phoenix Alliance, while not really spitting in the face of EDEN. To those conspiracy theorists, I am speaking to you directly and your accusation that those former eAmericans here are just trying to turn eNZ into an EDEN/Brolliance Puppet Nation. The invasion of India is doing much more good for Serbia and Phoenix than EDEN (it's also going to help India). Also, if you look at eUS Politics over the past few months, you'd notice that most of the former eAmericans who live in eNew Zealand tend to be ardent anti-Dioists with a mutual dislike for most of the former eAmericans who live in Pakistan. I assure you that people like our MoD Bradley Reala is not secretly a best-buddy co-conspirator with people like Chocolate McSkittles and Krems the Konqueror.

Additionally, if the eIndians play this right, it could end up being one of the better things to ever happen to them. RL Paki/Indian tensions could be played up for a babyboom-- should be played up for a babyboom. Nothing helps a large country more for a babyboom than an invasion.
I will also note that India approached us with an offer of economic resources in order for us to deploy to help them. The cabinet was fairly unanimous in denying this request, partially because we did not want to alienate so many nations and also because there is currently a lot of distrust in working out deals with India on the world stage right now. With their current predicament, hopefully they change some of their policies and organise better. And, again, BABYBOOM.

Again, let me be very clear: I am under the belief that the end result of this conflict will be better for India than bad for India. Mark this down so I can say "told you so" a month from now. 😛

Anyways, any members of the NZDF who have scruples in this social strategy and war-based game and do not want to deploy for this free practice to improve themselves and help make our military stronger for when the 45 day grace period is over may stay back with no consequences or ill-will. You don't get the free supplies if you do this, though, but there is the option for those of you who feel that NZ should not be training its military at this time. Soldiers may opt out of engaging in this training exercise.

For future reference, the military goals I have set are as follows:
1. Organise Training Wars with the nation of Chile so our soldiers can frequently have fights; auction off RW medals in these TWs to help us and Chile pay for the costs.
2. Secure one MPP with an active Phoenix nation and one MPP with an active EDEN/Brolliance nation to allow for balanced-out fighting.
3. Have troops deployed in two sets to fight on either side of a battle so as to lower Kiwi influence on the final outcome.

Anyways, that's the focus on the Military today. If you have questions, do not hesitate to send me an in-game PM or forum PM, or catch me on IRC in #eNewZealand sometime. I'm more than happy to talk.

I apologize for the continuing technical difficulties with regards to the forums. We are working to improve this and hope to get it remedied soon. (As-of-Publishing: Oh, look, they work again for now).

In summation, Kiwi Sheep are superior to Welsh Sheep.
