Once again, Death Note is about the be banned. This time, a group of parents in the central of Russia, Ural zone, has submitted a request to president Vladimir Putin, asking him to ban the distribution of the manga that they think is dangerous.

According to the country's media, four volumes of Death Note manga and a suicide note were left behind before a 15-year-old girl jumped out of the 13th floor of an apartment in Yekaterinburg on 20th Feb this year. After the investigation, the police said that the manga are related to her death.

In the request, the parents said that the manga make their kids "interested" in death and affect negatively to the growth of their emotions.

This manga was fully published in Russia in 2012, but the Japanese media noted that this manga can be "read for free on the Internet thanks to the Russian Copyrights system."
