#MyNfY3 - eWorld Chess Competition

INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone! I have a new project for you and I really hope and want you to get involved in. What is it about? How you can already read in the title is about chess.

Why? How? This idea hit me when I see the opening of the winter Olympics 2018 and I want something like that for erepublik too. Even if, for the moment (just because I’m not sure about this idea) it will be an eUSA edition, I really really want to make it global and maybe (why not) subscribe it to Plato Foundation Project.



THE PURPOSE

It’s a chess competition using https://lichess.org , a site already known by eUSA people and not only them. I see this competition as “2+1 bullet” with standard rules.

Who can participate?

All the eCitizens (for the moment only from the eUSA, but if anybody from other country wants to join, let me know in the comment and we can talk about this).

How it will work?

Any citizen can join in the competition as representer of his party/country or on his own. There is a very clear sorting way.
Every citizen will enroll in a competition with a PM for me. From now on each citizen will be enrolled in a certain category. The main categories that also represent the hierarchy are: the country from which the citizen originates, the party from which it originates or N/A means on his own. There are some rules:

If you are the first one from your party/country you automatically enroll your party/country in competition.

Example: citizen XYZ from Spain enroll in the competition. Because Spain is not on the list, it will be there and the next people (let’s say KLM) from Spain will automatically be there. If XYZ is from the “A party” and the KLM player is from “B party” there will be a competition for party A and party B for WHO is gonna represent the country.

2. If you are not a member of any party you will be on your own, you will fight with other players enrolled before in this category and one of you will compete in the Big eWorld Competition.

3. You will compete for the country you have the citizenship when I will receive your PM. If you want (just because in the meantime you change your citizenship, you can change the country that you represent).

4. The rule above also applies to parties. If you change it, let me now.

5. More rules to come by time. It may include an advantage for the people that enroll first their country/party.

HOW YOU CAN REPRESENT YOUR COUNTRY?

So, you will fight against another winner (for his party) to represent the country. If you are the only one to represent your country, you will fight in the eWorld competition by default. There the things will be a little complicated and I propose that there be a lottery to decide which countries will play against the others.
If you don’t want to represent anything, or don’t want to join a party, you will be in the “N/A group”. You will fight against other people from this group and in the final, one of you will represent the group in the eWorld Competition.



THE INSIDE COMPETITIONS - PARTY and COUNTRY EDITIONS

For the party competition, I will try to talk with the PP or vPP or so on to get involved in this. If no one will want to do it me or someone from the committee will do it.

For the country edition, I will want somebody from the government, but if no one will do it, I’m really glad to be involved (or someone from the committee).


GOALS AND IMPACT
I have been seeing for some time that there is inactivity in erepublik. That's why I came up with this idea. The main purpose is fun!. Also:

-this game can bring teamwork and leadership skills useful both for you, your party and for your country.

-a more united community will make citizens more united and eager to win.

-at the same time, it is very important that the youngest players can participate and that they can thus have substantial gains and even coordination in their future career as citizens in erepublik.



PRIZES

For the moment I intend to have prizes by party/country and finally for the big prize in the eWorld Competition.

I hope you understand that this project is at an early stage and that only with your help will I be able to implement this competition.

I would like to find out that the parties want to offer the prizes themselves to the winners themselves, or for the beginning, that the parties would be willing to donate something to gather for the big prize offered to the country's representative.

I can assure you that I'm making big efforts to get donations for prizes. All endorsements for this article will be added to the competition budget.

In the shortest possible time, I will create a document with the participants in the competition. The document will be updated in real time.

1. Where will it take place? As soon as this project gain more interest and we have enough people to join it. So please, let me know about your intention to attend by sending a PM to me.

2. Can I join it if I'm not an eUSA citizen?. Yes, you can! Just send my a PM. How I said, I didn't expect so much from this project amd thats the reason that in first place I said it's an USA competition. So JOIN NOW!
