[MPP] Thank you congress, for paying attention
Luuklag
Dear congressmen,
Today the president of Cyprus proposed an MPP with us. You can see the voting here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/Netherlands/law/93212 as you probably all know.
At the time of writing 15 votes have been cast, 14 in favour and one against. I want to congratulate this 1 voter for his common sense, his wisdom and his ability to read.
As all Dutch citizens can read this statement made by our Minister of Finance; ArtemIvanov here, we could all have known our government doesn't have the funds to afford this MPP. The main reason is they signed too many already. (Most just for the heck of it.) This MPP would be one to perfectly fit the row of MPP's for the heck of it.
We are currently NOT at war.
We currently have battles almost 24/7.
Cyprus doesn't need our help at this time.
This MPP was not talked about by both governments.
Our government has blown it budget for this month.
Yet our congress deems themselves smart enough to know what to vote without looking at the designated topic. It might be bad to blame one our to people because at the time they voted there was nothing in the topic.
But then that raises another question: If there is nothing in the topic, why should you accept it. If our government had known this MPP was coming they would have given you the heads up. So you might have made a post on the topic yourselves asking what was going on. I am pretty sure you get an answer within 24 hours.
Now the funniest thing is I got a deja-vu seeing this. Some might remember the MPP with France in my term, or just before that. (Not really sure when it happened)
A concerned citizen.

You just had to nag about something didn't you? Also, because we do now have more resources, more producte will end up on the Dutch market, creating an influx into the state treasury (inverdien effect) Meaning that next month the government will have a lot more income then expenditures.
Also mostly congress is ill-informed about MPP's because this is decided behind closed curtains.
\o/ for rational thinking.
All we can do to face this overspending is INCREASE TAXES!
MoF out.
(inb4serriousreplys, this comment is a joke)
@curer, every government has a budget that is equal to the taxgain of the previous month. This prevents our country from going bankrupt!
Congress is perfectly informed through our MPP topic on our forums, if they had the brains to take a look there before clicking the yes button because we vote yes to almost any MPP that gets proposed....
That we do almost every time doesn't mean we do EVERY time.....
(too many)
Besides that fully agreed, let's make sure this won't happen again.

"Also mostly congress is ill-informed about MPP's because this is decided behind closed curtains."
Congressmen need to ask questions more, before clicking the buttons :/
Luuk, you say such wise things, but then you go ahead and spoil it all by trolling.
Every message needs a funny note Ellana
No debate link = Vote No o/
We have enough mpp's, we just need to pick the right countries to have an mpp with.
ThomasRed, that's hard when a foreign president proposes it, but that's why we have a dedicated MPP topic in our congress debate forums 🙂
Shtula +1
shows again that (too many) congressman are stupid, and president is better off ignoring them 😛
Fhaetima, +1!
The best congressman missed the elections because of lack of votes...
Congress fail....
"We have enough mpp's, we just need to pick the right countries to have an mpp with."
