[MPP] Thank you congress, for paying attention

Day 1,506, 14:52 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Luuklag

Dear congressmen,

Today the president of Cyprus proposed an MPP with us. You can see the voting here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/Netherlands/law/93212 as you probably all know.
At the time of writing 15 votes have been cast, 14 in favour and one against. I want to congratulate this 1 voter for his common sense, his wisdom and his ability to read.

As all Dutch citizens can read this statement made by our Minister of Finance; ArtemIvanov here, we could all have known our government doesn't have the funds to afford this MPP. The main reason is they signed too many already. (Most just for the heck of it.) This MPP would be one to perfectly fit the row of MPP's for the heck of it.

We are currently NOT at war.
We currently have battles almost 24/7.
Cyprus doesn't need our help at this time.
This MPP was not talked about by both governments.
Our government has blown it budget for this month.

Yet our congress deems themselves smart enough to know what to vote without looking at the designated topic. It might be bad to blame one our to people because at the time they voted there was nothing in the topic.

But then that raises another question: If there is nothing in the topic, why should you accept it. If our government had known this MPP was coming they would have given you the heads up. So you might have made a post on the topic yourselves asking what was going on. I am pretty sure you get an answer within 24 hours.

Now the funniest thing is I got a deja-vu seeing this. Some might remember the MPP with France in my term, or just before that. (Not really sure when it happened)

A concerned citizen.
