[MOO] Where do we go from here?

(I'm going to work on my own official MOO Party President newspaper banner today)

Wow, I am shocked by the amount of support I have received from MOO members. Thank you.

So, "Where do we go from here?" This was a question raised by former PP of MOO OLloyd on the MOO forums. There's been a lot of rumours and half-truths being spread about what I intend to do. Many believe that I will use my new found power to destroy MOO. Could it be that I put all this effort into recreating the glory that was the Rolo Tahmasee Party? Or is there something even more foul afoot (Rolo4CP??). "Ohnoes, Wally haz our party!! How can we work against him?" "Perhaps we could out troll him." "Perhaps we could preemptively take him to court and try him for his future crimes."

Well, to ease everyone's concerns, MOO will not become another RTAP (though that would certainly make a fun month). Nor will Rolo be nominated for CP (unless the party decides to). Now, as for out trolling me, I welcome your efforts. But, running for Party President of MOO was never about that.

Back in May, I was invited by Addy Lawrence to be an Ambassador to MOO from CPP. I continued this position after I went to the MDP as well. I was a leading factor in opening up Captains of Industry to non-MOO members. MOO has always been a second home to me. And now I call it home. But, MOO is a troubled party.

As much as MOO members would like to believe it, the forums is not working when it comes to the party. A simple Mass PM'ing of the party resulted in a strong showing of support on Election Day. More interesting was a few of the responses that I received. Typically, a Mass PM campaign comes with responses like "Why did you send me this?!?!?!" or "Please never spam me again!!!" or "Reported". But this time, I received a lot of interest. In particular one stuck out to me:

Would love to know how i can contribute and maybe even make congress.. You have my vote

The above response was made by what we lovingly or not so lovingly refer to as a two-clicker. Someone who most of us view as having no rights at all. As Party President, I will be adopting a policy of including the two-clickers in the party decisions. This will not always jive with the party's By-Laws, but, it is something we need to do as a party to move forward. Now, I am not saying that we will be placing random party members into Congress, nor am I talking about abandoning the forums. We need to keep the forums, but find a way to include more than just the 12 or so active 'forumers' in party decisions.

The first step that I have taken is to create this questionnaire for all MOO party members to fill out. I will also be PMing each party member with the link. Your assistance in completing the questionnaire will be the first step to moving the party forward.

Anyone who is currently in charge of a MOO 'department' is free to continue what they are doing, and anyone interested in becoming more involved in the party or who has an idea is more than welcome to send me a PM.
