[MOMC] Your day-to-day guide for eRepublik - DAY ONE

Day 1,521, 08:05 Published in India India by ArawnLives

Hello, again!

So in the course of time since the last article, I have - gained two levels, saved up quite some gold, and generally felt quite cocksure about stuff. 😛 Enough to think of writing an article on how the first two days at eRepublik should ideally be spent.

That said - I'm sure I have some of it wrong. Suggestions, etc. are very welcome - in fact, I'm asking for 'em.

So here's the guide -
DAY ONE:
Step one - DON'T PANIC.

The interface of eRepublik is initially incredibly daunting. There truly is no indication what half the stuff on it even means - no alt text [the small box of text that comes when your cursor is over an image], no help menu, nothing at all.

Just calm down when this happens.

If you're an eIndian and found this article, you got past that already. You've found a way to get help, or you've figured it out. In the first instance, well done! In the second - well done, but it ISN'T the way you should be working here.

Unlike many other MMORPGs, this isn't a game you figure out for the first few days on your own and THEN get involved in alliances or co-operative play. It begins with you being an e-citizen of an e-nation, with your success and failure tied to your ability to make that e-nation prosper.

Step two - Missions

The pane on the left will show you missions at the bottom that you can perform. These will help you do a slow setup for the first day, and accomplish basic goals within the game arena. Here is a list of all missions - http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Missions

This list IS a bit misleading, as the missions aren't in order. I am, personally, done with Missions 1, 2, 5, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 27. These are in no particular order in the article, but they help you get the basic job done in-game.

You should end the first day with one food factory, 3 grain farms, and should have gotten a job immediately - just go to the market tab, go to the job marketplace, and get the best paying job. Also, make sure you regularly develop food stocks, as well as take recourse to the many excellent ways to make money, food and get weapons through our nation's social welfare program, all elucidated at http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-momc-why-eindia-is-the-place-to-be--1949047/1/20 (yes, I'm plugging myself. Deal. 🙂 )

This is where you should end day one. 🙂
