[MoI] Switzerland and the World

Day 1,454, 18:05 Published in Switzerland USA by Penguin4512
To all you readers, I have been elected as a Minister of Information to Switzerland, along will my good colleague bowen199. Thus, I had to (sadly) rein in the boundless idiocy which characterizes my article.

Naturally, I had to screw something up, so this information is actually a bit outdated as it was supposed to be published a few days ago. But oh well. Enjoy!

It has been a little over a week since the Country President elections and the transition phase is now complete. Congratulations to Luka Tomasevic Tomas and all the other CPs. The other big news in erepublik has been the announcement of eAlbania and the new eSerbian region Kosovo.

WESTERN AND NORTHERN EUROPE

Day1453 of the new world

Austria vs Czechs

Austria has managed to hold on to Southern Bohemia over several consecutive RW's, including one ongoing one, which provides a 20% productivity boost to Austria as their only region with Iron. They however came close to losing it to the Czechs at the beginning of the week. Later resistance wars were less of a threat and quickly squashed.

Belgium | Netherlands

Both countries mutually agreed on a training war, but it was recently decided to change the arrangement. The Belgian CP thanked the Dutch for the experience and stated “right now the necessary military balance is not present to manage it in a serene way”. As a result A 'No Natural Enemy' vote was proposed by both CPs and passed by congress ending the training war.

Estonia vs Finland

There is now love lost between Estonia and Finland as they've been at each other throaths for a really long time. Estonia is fairly evenly matched with Finland and is only ranked a fraction higher than Finland in terms of damage and strength. Finland does have a slight advantage with 2 more MPPs than Finland but have lost their last 9 out 10 of their last attacks from Estonia. Only managing to claim back their regions through successful RW campaigns.

France vs Serbia & Poland

France just about managed to get back Aquitaine and Midi Pyrénées through a coordinated with Terra and EDEN operation. France proposed Serbia as their new natural enemey and then lose all their regions once Serbia gained initiative. On Thursday, Poland offerred France a “4+1” deal where France gets 4 of their regions in the first 2 weeks and then a bonus region afterwards if relationship is maintained on a 'friendly' level.

Germany vs Poland

Germany currently has only Brandenburg and Berlin, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. Poland has the remaining 10 regions.

Ireland vs UK

After the Bhane won the CP elections on XP, an impeachment was proposed almost immediately afterwards but got rejected by congress. Ireland are yet again under UK's control and, after several efforts, managed to RW back a single region of Wexford.

Italy vs Slovenia & Serbia

Has been completely wiped and mostly occupied by Serbia, with Slovenia owning several regions. There also noticeable very few organised RWs for Italy in either country.

Portugal vs Venezuela

In Portugal, an impeachment proposal was proposed after only a few days after the new CP was elected, which has since failed. In terms of military activity, Portugal have completely taken control of all of Venezuela's original regions even though they provide hardly any region bonuses. Portugal has nonetheless quashed any RW attempts maintaining the other benefits of their conquered regions.

Spain vs Brazil

Spain too had an impeachment proposal rejected at the beginning of this term, however it was only narrowly rejected. Both Spain and Brazil have proposed each other as a Natural Enemy which has been moreorless of a stalemate as neither countries have managed to keep initiative. Brazil does however have 100% food and weapons bonuses from their regions and 8 more MPPs than Spain.

Switzerland vs Slovenia

A historical treaty has just been passed, known as the Flying Dove Treaty. The treaty entails Switzerland with a permanent region, Romandie, as well as a training war between the two nations.

Hopefully, this deal can lead to a lasting peace between the two nations.
