[MoHA] Government Reward Program - Recipient Interviews

Day 3,742, 01:54 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

Government activity rewards

You will have seen that the first Government Activity Rewards were granted this week.

The rewards gift MU’s and Parties with a sum of GBP calculated based on their member count, new members that have joined, and the number of articles they published.

The Government issues this cash for MU’s and Parties to engage their citizenry and to fund incentives for eUK players.

I’ve spoken with some of the recipients to gauge their first thoughts on the scheme and to show what the money is being used for.

PUP (JimmyTango, outgoing PP).
JimmyT indicated the following: ‘I expect the funds made available by jamesw would be best used for assisting in the purchase of produce used for welcoming baskets that contains a mix of food and weapons.’

Dental Corps (FragUK, Commander).
Frag told me the money had been returned and recycled back into the scheme, so more needy people will benefit!

Scorpions (Piran, Commander).
Piran said the following: ‘Every week that we receive funds i will be increasing the MU supply give away.
I will also use some of the rewards to subsidise the purchase of weapons factories in order to supply more goodies to the MU in the longer term.’ … he also said he’d blow it on Rum (I’ve got the cola).

UKRP (DaveTrenga, PP).
UKRP’s representative state😛 ‘The first thing that pops into my head is that Apples probably will sneak into the party offices to nick it and waste it all on Talisker and haggis.

But if I’m able to keep the cash long enough and win the PP election I plan to offer the cash reward to be used as a prize for a party article competition.’

WP (Aaron Mark Daniels, PP).
AMD has indicated that the funds shall be invested and the returns spent on new player initiatives, which the party are about to brainstorm and draw up in a conference.

PCP (PerilousPanther, Outgoing PP).
PP indicated the funds would be entered into party orgs to be used in games and competitions such as raffles. When asked if they were worthwhile, he sai😛
‘Yes. I think it is worthwhile. I think that you should probably also keep tabs on what people spend the money like you are. Zaphod has taken over as PP, so he'll continue any processes. We'd probably use some for enticing younger players and for newspapers.’

Free British Irregulars (Huey George, Commander).
Huey divulged the rewards would be fed into the MU account for CO based incentives; when asked how the scheme might be used by the Irregulars if it were expanded, he adde😛 ‘It's difficult to assess this scheme so early in its life. The Irregulars have a stable weekly supply structure as I've long thought the provision of Q7 weapons and Q7 food is the best method to encourage activity.

The Irregulars weekly supplies if sold in the eUK marketplace would cost around a modest 24k a week so the Government could help us expand a little in this regard, however, I don't think a lack of supply is a critical factor to activity.

The only other option to encourage activity present in the Irregulars is discounts on purchasing housing. The Government funding would probably have to be more substantial to support this.

However, it's most likely I would continue to add the rewards to the Free British Irregulars Miltary Unit Account for the issue of Combat Orders’.

And there you have it! The scheme is being positively received and it is our hope that the incentives for Parties and MU’s to engage the public will drive up activity across the board.

As a last point, if you haven’t already seen the Ministry of Finance is offering gold-loans for the upgrading of training camps whilst the discount is live. See this article for more information.
