Day 851, 23:13 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Foreign Affairs
Wellness is very important in eRepublik and should be taken seriously, especially if you're a new player. Take a minute of your time to read this article to take a head start in this game.

Wellness stands for the health of your citizen, it has an effect on your productivity as an employee and on the damage you cause as a soldier. As a new citizen you start off with 100, but you will lose:
- Q Wellness points for every time you work (Q being the quality level of the company where you work - that's why it is important that in your first days in eRepublik you only apply for Q1 companies)
- 1 Wellness point for every time you train
- 2 Wellness points for every time you travel
- 10 Wellness points for every fight
- you will also lose Wellness if you don't have any food in your inventory at 00:00 eRep time (09:00 in real Belgium)
When your Wellness reaches 0, your citizen will die.

There are of course ways to improve your Wellness. The most basic one is to make sure you have at least one piece of food in your inventory for the next day. At 00:00 eRep time one piece of food will be consumed from your inventory, always the one with the highest quality first. The amount of Wellness that will be added depends on the quality of the food and on your Wellness - you will receive more Wellness for higher quality food, but this will be lower if your Wellness is high.

For example: with a Wellness of 90 a piece of Q1 food will give you 0.6 Wellness points, while Q4 would give you 2.4. But if your Wellness is 50, Q1 food will give you 1 point, while Q4 would give you 4. For those who are interested, eRepublik works with this mathematical formula for Wellness increase through foo😛 (1.5 - (current wellness/100)) * food quality

Another way to boost your Wellness is receiving gifts - the amount of Wellness points you receive per gift is the same as it's quality (Q1=1 Wellness point, Q2=2 Wellness points,...). It's important to know that you can't use a gift for yourself when you buy one, but only to boost someone else's Wellness! What you can do is find a buddy (or mentor) who you can trust, so you can exchange gifts or you can donate him/her a gift (or money for one) to be sent back to you. If you have problems finding such a person, feel free to donate the gift to citizen.info, an organization of the eBelgian government, and the MoHA team will send it back to you. A final remark on gifts is that you can only receive 10 Wellness points a day from gifts.

If you have fought, then you can get back up to 50 Wellness you've lost trough fighting that day at a Hospital. The Hospital is situated in Brussels, and the use of it is free, but you need to be in Brussels to be able to heal! If you live in Flanders or Wallonia, you are strongly advised to buy a moving ticket and to move to Brussels for the Hospital - it will help you grow faster since every fight will give you 2 extra experience! Important to remember: you can only fight if your Wellness is above 40, so make sure you heal at the Hospital after fighting and don't fight more than you can get back (only 50 Wellness points every day!). Because this system was recently changed, we want to make sure there is no confusion: you will only get back what you've lost through fighting (and not through working or training)!

For example: You're in Brussels and you fight 5 times - the Hospital will give you 50 Wellness. If you fight 3 times - only 30 Wellness! If you fight 6 times - only 50 Wellness!

There are two more ways to improve your Wellness, but only for richer players - buying a house (which will give you additional Wellness depending on its quality, similar to food), or get a Wellness pack of 10 Wellness points for 2 Gold...

\\\CONGRATULATIONS!/// Now you know everything you need to know about Wellness and hopefully this will help you to manage your health better and to achieve great successes in eRepublik.
