[MoFA] Indonesia Leaves PEACE

Day 724, 01:33 Published in United Kingdom Ireland by Lord Rhindon

Indonesia's official resignation from PEACE GC was issued several hours ago by President Wonder Forward. The given reason is that Indonesia has become static and disillusioned, little to fight for, stand for, live for - the passion of earlier days has died and the alliance as a whole a weight upon a country that seeks a new future.

The Indonesian President has reinforced opinion of the new upcoming foreign policy that it must soon forge - in that the nation's recognition of friend and enemy may still remain very similar to what it was during their membership with PEACE.

I caught up with their deputy MoFA earlier tonight,

To Lord Rhindon and the people of eUK,
We left PEACE GC because we don't want other members to be at blame for any issues involving us. We also feel that PEACE GC has achieved its goals. And because of that, we are starting to feel we need new goals. Goals that can light up our passion. Life without passion is an empty life. We need to take another journey, because life is a journey.
Leaving PEACE GC doesn't mean we will leave our bonds and brotherhood. We will never forget or abandon our friendship. Everything has its own time, all thing must pass. We just have to find our passion back, and take another step, and find our path towards life.
We will always be friends, we shall always be friend with eUK, and with other PEACE GC members. And if our enemy trying to screw our dearest friends, they have to think dozens of time.
Thank you in advance, eUK
Regard,

And now to the elephant-in-the-room.

What is to become of PEACE?

Having lost one of its its most critical entities of military might and diplomatic prowess, the future of the alliance seems bleak - Indonesia's example sets a precedence that would become easy to follow. This is very clearly reflecting the signs of a fading order. It wasn't entirely unexpected, various individuals had since predicted this turn of events; not necessarily unforeseeable, though for many, disquieting to finally watch unfold.

How far will it go? Enough already to have made serious alterations. Anything else is for the predictions - always temperamental.

Where is the eUK in all of this?

Whatever will occur, our Diplomatic Corps will continue to ensure the stability of our overseas relations, which will remain as steady as they are. It will be the responsibility of the eUK administration, most specifically Congress, to decide upon the course our nation will take in the near future. I believe it can be safely said that this will be an issue we'll no doubt hear enough of in the coming weeks. From both sides.

Keep watch on this article, as it may be updated to accommodate for coming events of international interest.
