[MoFA] Croatian Implications

Hello eUK! It is my upmost honour to write to you today as Minister of Foreign Affairs. I have always seen a fault of this Ministry in the fact it has never put enough into information; reporting to the public about notable events, and providing general updates. This is going to be an aspect I want to improve and will set out as a main goal for the term. Just before v2 was launched, Hungary and Serbia initiated the invasion on Croatia and managed to obtain some of their most important regions. With v2 launched, this meant they had them under a frozen war module for a week, and managed to keep them and eventually, the entire country, under Phoenix ownership until the 23rd, meaning there would be no Congress election, and citizenship would be thrust open for anyone. This major success encouraged Phoenix to continue pushing, and they won battles on numerous fronts. Norway fell to the feet of takeover, and the regions were taken by Russia, and by ourselves, with Iain grabbing Vestlandet's high oil, and then fortifying it well. Indonesia took Western Australia, the region they wanted so much for so long, the high titanium region. Ireland's President then got rather annoyed at an impeachment, so activated the UK MPP's against his country. This exposed his country to an invasion by ourselves, and they are still in the awkward predicament where we can attack at any time backed up by our allies.

Russia had claimed Alaska in v1, and used this as a base to push further into America. Their supreme manpower and great organisation from Phoenix meant they eventually reached California, an American fortress region, and they took it. Phoenix had the upper hand.

The events that then ensued were an incredible turnaround. Poland sealed off California, and then took it back for themselves. North Korea, under Chinese control, began manouvering in China, taking several inland regions and then parts of Japan, and Hawaii. This meant that, effectively, Poland had a path, formed by North Korea, to swap into Shandong, a region bordering Liaoning. Liaoning is a major region of the eWorld; it is Serbia's most valuable with its high iron and large population, and Phoenix have successfully defended it numerous times; it has been the stage for some of the largest battles of the New World. The stage is once again set, and this time it is Poland who will strike at Liaoning. They are currently being held back by Phoenix Resistance Wars but common belief is this wont keep them back.

Meanwhile, Back In Croatia...

A battle ensued politically, over the next President of Croatia. With the open citizenship that they had effectively enforced, Phoenix had hoped to sieze control, and ruin Croatia in the long term. They had put forward their candidate, Lipec, and EDEN feared that Serbian organisation, in particular, might prevail. It would have had catastrophic consequences for their future and could've changed the face of the eWorld, removing a major EDEN nation. However, it has turned out that the support put forward for Fabius, the EDEN candidate, dwarfed that of Phoenix, and Croatia shall remain; weak, and in danger, but it shall remain to fight another day. Central Croatia has been reclaimed, and they are ready to push ahead. The final score on election day? EDEN - 3485, Phoenix 876!
