[MoFA] Ally of the Week: eChina!

Beste burgers van eNederland, en andere lezers,

Het is mijn eer u namens het hele team in de regering te mogen presenteren:



Onze bondgenoot van de week is China. Een bondgenoot niet zo dicht bij huis, maar één die een betere vriend is dan velen van ons zich realiseren. Ze hebben nog nooit ‘nee’ gezegd op een verzoek om een MPP met ons (ze kunnen het natuurlijk betalen, maar dan nog: wij zijn maar een zwak en klein land vergeleken met henzelf), ze vechten wanneer de meesten van ons nog slapen en ze vochten aan onze zijde in vele pogingen onze vrijheid te heroveren.

In RL is het in China illegaal het spel eRepublik te spelen. Veel oudere spelers zijn gestopt met spelen, er is haast geen aanwas aan nieuwe spelers. Ingame is China is niet een erg open land, en de taal maakt communicatie erg lastig. Het Congres is voornamelijk native Chinese en het lezen van elkaars artikelen is niet makkelijk 🙂

Er is nog een andere reden waarom China zo’n gesloten gemeenschap is, om niet te zeggen dat het zeer moeilijk is om een burgerschapsverzoek ingewilligd te krijgen. Ze hadden (en hebben nog altijd) veel problemen met bondgenoten die binnen werden gelaten om wapens en voedsel te produceren in dit 100/100 bonus land. Sommige immigranten verkopen hun stemmen voor geld, op een georganiseerde manier, sommigen runden zelfs voor Landspresident. En toch worden wij, eNederlanders vertrouwd door de Chinezen en ze lieten inmiddels 3 mensen binnen om te werken voor onze communes. Een vertrouwen waar we zeer trots op zijn, en wat we vanzelfsprekend niet op het spel zetten. Daarom laten onze mensen zich niet in met de lokale politiek, tenzij de Chinese daar zelf om zou vragen om te helpen party take overs te voorkomen.



China wordt wel beschouwd als het ‘laatste bolwerk van EDEN’, het ligt geïsoleerd in het oosten met op dit moment 41 regio’s en zoals gezegd maximale productiebonussen. Redenen voor de allianties CoT en Two om het overmeesteren van China te beschouwen als een van de grootste trofeeën die te behalen zijn. Het is moeilijk te voorspellen wanneer er weer aanvallen op China zullen volgen, maar ze zullen komen. Redenen genoeg voor ons om China te steunen wanneer ze ons daarom vragen. Zoals we ook hebben gedaan in hun recente oorlog met Indonesia.

We hebben hen geholpen Visayas te veroveren op de Indonesiërs, en het Filipino verzet te onderdrukken in Luzon. Sommigen van ons behaalden zelfs een Battle Hero medal.

Hier vandaan zouden ze zelfs Hawaii kunnen aanvallen, dus pak voor de zekerheid je korte broek en zwempak maar in, met je snorkels en je board. Dat is het mooie van een bondgenoot aan het andere eind van de wereld...

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands, and other readers,

It is our honour to present you on behalf of our entire team in the government:



Our ally of this week is China. An ally not so close to home, but one that has been more of friend to us than many of us realize. They have never said ‘no’ to a request for an MPP with us (of course they can afford it, but still: we are a very weak and small country compared to them), they fight when most us are still asleep and they have stood by us in many attempts to regain our freedom.

In RL China it is illegal to play the game of eRepublik. Many older players stopped playing, there is almost no new entry of low level players. Ingame, China is not a very open country, and the language makes communication very difficult. Congress is mainly native Chinese and reading each others articles is somewhat hard 🙂

There is another reason why China is such a closed community, not to say that it is very hard to get citizenship. They had (and still have) many problems with allies that got citizenship to manifacture weapons and food in this 100/100 bonus country. Some of the immigrants sell their votes for money, in an organised way, some even ran for Country President. Yet we, the eDutch are trusted by the Chinese to have already 3 people in, working there for our communes. A trust we are very proud of, and which we won’t jeopardise ofcourse. So our people there won’t join any local politics, unless it’s asked for by the Chinese government itself in case of helping out to prevent party take overs.



China is considered as the ‘last fortress of EDEN’, it lies isolated in the east with currently 41 regions and as said full production bonus. Reasons for the alliances of CoT and Two to see overpowering China as the biggest trophy they could achieve. It is hard to say when new attacks on China are to be expected, but they will come. Reasons enough for us to stand by China whenever they request our help. As we did in their last battles against Indonesia.

We’ve helped them to conquer Visayas from the Indonesians, and to crack down the Filipino resistance on Luzon. Some of us even got a Battle Hero medal.
