Well, Guey, I understand your point, but I, for one, rely on these giveaways to keep me going. I'm not a credit card player, and could not survive for long without occasional giveaways.

Sounds like you are the kind of player the govt should support more heavily - a flat amount for anyone who happens to comment on article on two days a month just seems to me to be not very efficient.

Perhaps we need something like BUPA but not just targeted at people under a certain level cap, but to support poorer/non paying players in general

credit cards have nothing to do with it, before I paid a dime to Plato, I was grinding my a$$ off, staying late to maximize my fuel and hit both ways.
I guess the war element can't be for everyone but... just like RL you have to sacrifice time to progress.

When I rejoined around 2-3 years ago, I was around level 50. By judicious resource management and occasional rewards and giveaways, I have progressed to level 163 over this time.

I offer this information to support my point about the value of giveaways to minor players such as myself.
