[MoF] Airplane Announcement

Day 3,160, 17:04 Published in Ireland Ireland by Sweet Drinker

If you didn't catch it, airplanes have begun their rollout today.

Admins have provided a respectable amount of gory details too. However we are still trying to interpret some of the fundamental details.
But I don't need to (try) explain it. Have a read yourself.

As with any new industry/item, it appeared on the markets at comically hopeful prices that quickly plummeted. Faster and further than I expected tbh. However it's a scarce resource with heavy production restriction, and a serious impact on the battlefield (I'll leave the battle-fieldy analysis stuff to a professional). So it can be expected to hold a respectable price.

Though current market rates may look promising, the gov does not recommend placing aeronautic companies in Native Holdings. Once the market stabilizes you could easily find yourself with a weakly performing airplane factory. if resourceless production proves effective, it would be a very unusual market.

It probably makes more sense to simply shop from a plane producing nation if you desire planes immediately. As stated in a previous article, the gov intends to keep Plane taxes bottomed out to atleast encourage airplane commerce in lieu of a plane industry.

As for the huge amount of non production related implications of Plato's report, there are a lot of questions(articles/shouts/Nostradamus-quotes) everywhere about it and you probably have more. I've always felt everything in erep looks a bit different from how it actually works. But Airwars undoubtedly change the face of battlefields.
