AoA
Dear citizens,

It is under unfortunate circumsatances that I speak to you, beneath the looming shadow cast by our foe. A cancer that has spread deep and weakened us, but there's a cure for this disease. And it lies in our determination...

The Darkness that has spread over our beloved Land.

We must fight this cloud of gloom and go on with our daily lives.
For, though we have fallen, it will not be for long, my brothers and sisters! Like the Phoenix of legend we shall rise from the ashes, burning with the flame of our strength & glory!

ePakistan will be reborn; more powerful than ever.

And though they have taken our country; our hearts, our very souls!, cannot be captured. March on, my fellow ePakistanis; learn from the past and plan for the future.

It is exactly for this reason, to help establish a sense of community and continuity, that I have formed the Mentor Project with the full support of our CP, IshamaelNaeblis and the members of the Senate.

The Project will consist of two Phases:

Phase 1:

In this phase, the Parent body of the Programme, headed by myself & Strywgr and aided by YoungHood & ShahJahan (a.k.a YoungCaesar), will determine the new players using an appropriate site.

In the beginning, any player under a week will be sent a standardised message welcoming them to ePak and giving them a basic guideline of what to do (including the joining of IRC channel).

After some time, when we've contacted the current players, we can minimise that mount to citizens below 2-3 days.

It is also the job of the Parent body to manage the #epak.training channel and guide the new citizens in a friendly amd informative manner. The channel will be set up to provide learning material with easy to use commands, thanks to Strywgr and TheJakal.

It will also be the duty of the Parent body to evaluate each citizen during their interactions to see the potential in each and nurture that.

After two weeks (the minimum period) in the Parent body, the new citizen will be eligible for apprenticeship (ONLY at the discretion of the Parent body) and this citizen would then move to Phase 2.

Phase 2:

The idea of this phase is to train the new citizen in a field that they are interested in.
For example, if my interest lies in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I would request that a person with experience in this field be assigned as my Mentor for the period of 2 months. After this period, the citizen can choose to go into another field too and will be considered a qualified individual in his chosen field.

A Mentor with her Apprentice, teaching the skills needed.

It would be more constructive and helpful if the Mentors are not current position holders but past position holders.

This would ensure that there is no large interference or work overload for the current Ministers and other positions.

Another advantage is that new citizens will be motivated AND knowledgable enough to take on their respective roles in the future.

The learning curve of the citizens would be reduced and the could more smoothly move into their roles.

To be a success, this phase requires contribution by senior players as they will be taking the roles of 'Mentor'. Their experience in the game, their knowledge would be core to training their appointed apprentices.

I think this programme has the potential to not only to create a drive in new citizens but also to produce efficient ePak citizens for the future.

My fellow ePakistanis, this is just one step towards our ultimate goal but it is step all the same and the support of ePak citizens to the Project is not just required but CRUCIAL to success!
So, please help where you can and if you are chosen to be Mentor then embrace that role with passion and determination.

For ePakistan!

Pride.
Power.
Pakistan.
