[MoC] First issue

Day 1,994, 15:44 Published in Ireland Ireland by Liam Tatlock

Welcome to the latest MoC bulletin, now under new ownership. The aim of the department will be to attempt to provide a bit of fun for the community and the chance to win some money, while attempting to raise the odd smile. I would ask that this be treated as a neutral ground and any animosities be kept elsewhere, please.

"Mister, why doesn't this cow have any horns?" asked the young lady from a nearby city. The farmer cocked his head for a moment, then began in a patient tone, "Well, cattle can do a lot of damage with their horns. Sometimes we keep them trimmed down with a hacksaw. Other times we can fix up the young ones by putting a couple drops of acid where their horns would grow in, and that stops them from growing, while there are some breeds of cattle that never grow horns. But the reason this cow hasn't any horns is because it's a horse."

Competition number one is something that I've not seen here before, which either means I've not looked hard enough or it's been tried and flopped. You may have seen auctions run this way so, if you have, you'll know the drill.

Rules
=====
All entrants may "buy" numbers between 1 and 100 inclusive at a cost of 10 IEP per number. The total prize fund will be the total quantity of numbers "bought" times the entry fee e.g if 10 people buy 5 numbers each, the prize fund will be 10 x 5 x 10 IEP or 500 IEP.

"How do you decide the winner?", I hear you cry. In this instance, the winner is the lowest unduplicated number, so if player A has 1, 3 & 5, player B has 2, 4 & 6 and player C has 1, 2, & 3, the winning number would be 4 as the numbers 1, 2 & 3 have been chosen by more than one person.

The deadline for entries is Sunday 12th May at 20:00 GMT (12:00 eRep) and entries should be mailed to Liam's mail> and payments made to Liam>
