ElGorro: Whats your RL age, RL citizenship and occupation?
Kiecho: I’m 28 years old, Dutch Citizen and currently unemployed.

ElGorro: Tell us something no one ingame knows about you from real life.
Kiecho: For the last 25 months I’ve been housebound due to health issues… I think that I’m now out of the “danger zone” but I have still a long road to travel towards a healthy, full life… I will tell you this much tho, it really changes you as a person…

ElGorro: Can you explain why and when you left the Netherlands?
Kiecho: I probably left somewhere around end of 2011 or beginning 2012… I went to the USA for the simple reason: PRODUCTION. Back then, USA had lots of regions and many Dutch citizens where going there for the production bonus. We had good relations with USA. I ran the commune for my MU so it was the best choice at that time.

ElGorro: As I recall correctly you left to the USA and now you are citizen of Germany. Can you share why?
Kiecho: For health reasons I was inactive for about a year. When I returned USA was reduced to 1 or 2 regions, which were continuously under attack. It was no longer the Production haven it once was… And after all that time I kind of wanted to return back home to the Netherlands… However, the Netherlands didn’t have any regions… so I was unable to send a CS request… Meanwhile Germany had secured like 8 regions and where not under attack! I decided to move to Germany as refugee until I can finally return home to my Netherlands.

ElGorro: Can you recommend Germany and/or USA to people who are planning to leave the Netherlands? And why?
Kiecho: When in Foreign lands I kept my nose clean… I stayed out of politics and tried not to fight against these nations. I’m very thankful they accepted my CS request but other than that I couldn’t tell you much about the countries and their community. (I was also inactive for like a year…)

ElGorro: You're the founder of Alpha Unit. A popular Private MU in the Netherlands of the past. What are your current plans with Alpha Unit?
Kiecho: My health issues make it hard for me to make any real plans… I will always stay in Alpha Unit but at the moment it’s merely a hangout for friends. Someday I will restore its glory again. Apha Unit WILL have a future!

ElGorro: Can you share a memory from the time you were active in the Netherlands?
Kiecho: Memories! I have good and bad memories from my active time in NL. Political wise, I find that my very first month in this game was also the best, Daniel Parker was CP for the first time and to my knowledge, there was a united feeling throughout the Dutch Community. After that things got really grim on the political stage… Lots of mud throwing, lots of hate and resentment… The NL community shattered and I think today we are still trying to regain what we have lost (community wise)... I also made a lot of good memories in Alpha Unit. I really disliked the political warfare that was going on at the time and decided to create my own little corner in the Netherlands where I and others could start enjoying the game again by helping and cooperating together. I took a lot of people under my wing and supported them in their progress and development in this game. It gave me great pleasure to help others and some of these players are still active today in the Dutch community! They might have gone off to do their own thing, but to me they will always be Alphas 🙂

ElGorro: How do you think the Netherlands remembers you?
Kiecho: I don’t know, you should ask them 😉 I just hope that ex Alpha members remember me fondly…

ElGorro: What should happen for you to move back to the Netherlands?
Kiecho: The Netherlands should get a congress! My CS application is already pending 😁

ElGorro: Do you have a message for the Dutch community?
Kiecho: Try to respect each other and their opinions. I think it’s the basis from which we could go far as a community. I know everyone knows this in general but it’s in those heated moments that we tend to forget… So I would also say; Think before you speak 🙂 And remember, its only a game 😉
