Dear eUSA,

in my last article, I shared my intent to run for President of the eUSA in July 2018. Today I will share with you my vision for the next 30 days. This is particularly important for me, so please get in touch if you have any questions.

Anyone who would like to be part of the Cabinet, should get in touch with me. The only requirement is that you are happy to use Discord. This is of particular importance for all DoD staff.



Ministry of War

Obviously we have failed to defend ourselves, so I will be calling it Ministry of War. There won't be a rebranding of the DoD, it's just how I will be referring to it. I'd like the idea of war to get into people's heads, because we will be waging war on many fronts.

The first objective here will be to hold at least 10 mass strikes for the duration of the Presidency. We will alternate these to suit people who live on either side of the (Atlantic) pond. We will continue to use Discord as the main means for organising these mass strikes and also for communicating battle plans. The DoD paper and the national feed will also be providing guidance, however Discord will be the single source of truth.

Another key element here is the National Security Council. The MU Commanders will be playing a pivotal role in the decision making for my administration. It is my belief that the because all of us who play the game are part of Military Units, the commanders of these MUs are the best suited people to represent the American players. Also, whatever effort we can count on to liberate our regions, is also going to come from the fighting force of our MUs. That's why I will be putting a lot of emphasis on the military minds and I will also hopefully help make American players more military aware.

I will talk about military strategy in the last section of this article.
Media and Domestic Affairs

I plan to write to you from my own paper at least 5 times throughout the Presidency. This will be a challenge for me, but I think it is important and that's why I will prioritise this task. The WHPR and DoE papers will also feature topics about the weekly challenge and prestige points, EPIC battles, the military rank Legend and other topics from the military module.

I also think that we can do better in our domestic programs. The biggest handicap is that because of the wipe, Congress put on hold all budgetary funding. Herr Vootsmann has been doing a fantastic job at keeping our existing domestic programs alive by some heavy private funding and I can only hope that he can carry on doing so. Nevertheless, I would like to explore ways in which the administration and Congress can help alleviate some of the financial burden off him.

Finally, I would like to see the eUSA applying for a grant in the Plato Foundation.
Foreign Affairs

eRepublik is a game of people and communities. Damage, fighters and armies are enablers for military success, but the communities always come first. So, while it doesn't help us that we ain't as strong as we used to be 5-7 years ago, we simply have to convince the other erep communities that they'd want to work with us. Today we are that fat kid in the sandpit that always stays in the corner, barely speaks to others and trips every third step of the way. And has marks of chocolate all over its t-shirt. We need to turn ourselves into an average kid that others will be fine inviting for their birthday parties. This is what we have been focusing on doing in the past few months and this is where I will continue to spend my efforts on.

Following the analogy above, once we start attending other kids' birthday parties, then we will be able to aspire towards removing occupiers and liberating our land. Then we will be worthy of having friends. And liberation will be a result of the hard work we've done as a society. We cannot achieve liberation by brute force, mostly because we do not possess the needed brute force.

The other important thing is that we will show the eWorld where we stand. Words are wind, so when the opportunity presents itself you will see the American soldiers on the battlefield. So far we have done one good campaign against Hungary, one good campaign against Lithuania and one failed campaign against MKD. All of these were random and were aiming to test the sands of what will happen if we push in the different directions. We expected that pushing against Hungary will get us some support from Asteria - it didn't. We tested Lithuania too and there we received support from Colin and his fellow eAlbanians. So, now we are taking this learning and will apply it into a full military plan to properly challenge our occupiers into at least agreeing to release some regions for us.

Finally, many will know that Pacifica has elected a new SG. DMJ is a known American and a former PotUS. He is definitely going to take the role seriously and will approach it with a lot of energy. However, I must openly share my disappointment that none of the other member countries which are better off decided to put forward a candidate, after Yui infamously resigned. This is because I believe that our Pacifica allies are key for us and they are the only ones we can count on in these days and for that reason I am hoping to see more drive and direction coming from them.
