Here is reposted what I wrote in a Feedback support ticket to the admin, vote this up to the top 5 if you agree.
Yesterday's *unannounced* downtime screwed a bunch of players over, myself included. I don't know how many people lost hard worker medals that they would have received had they been able to sign on yesterday, or how many people would have received super soldier medals yesterday and missed out on a day of training.
I know you guys are cheap and won't give us the gold we're owed but you really should since *YOU* failed to announce the downtime ahead of time and since *WE* cannot be on as often or as late as would have been required to work around your down time. It seems as if it was planned, so why did you guys not announce it like you have done in the past?
No tweets about it, no facebook status updates about it... NOTHING... not even a mention in yesterday's Insider..... the fact that players got screwed seems not to bother you.
You might do the decent move and give everyone their hard worker and super soldiers that they should have received yesterday as well as the strength training (at least basic) that they would have performed.
I personally would have gone for the 200% training yesterday, and you can perform that for me and even remove the gold from my account for it... but seriously, you could at least be decent about it.

Amen. I had to stay on super late to fight.
I had to go to bed before I could fight, it was already 3AM GMT and I had class the next morning. Lame.

If they actually cared about the players and how they are getting screwed, they would've done something about Lana already.
It looked to me that the entire domain went down in the middle of the night on them, and the "maintenance chicken" was the default error message.
