[LP] Battles in the world, day 1222

Day 1,222, 20:48 Published in United Kingdom Brazil by Peoge

Hi folks. This is my first article in UK, and the first outside my RL country too.

I am ready to apologize for any gramatical mistake that will occur (notice the 'will', not 'may').

Basically, my articles... suck. They just do. I only have 74 subs. You would probably be sparing yourself if you just go back to the home. NOW

South Europe's War turning tides? Till now, victory for ONE

Yesterday, after Romania won Bucovina & Croatia won North Dalmatia, Cromania side regained initiative against Hungary and Serbia, ending a succesfull streak by the later ones which turned out to be the highest combined point of the ex-PHOENIX titans against Cromania.

Though Romania easily regained initiative, Croatia had a difficultier battle which turned 8x6. One may say Serbia & Hungary were sorting things out in Spoland, but that's the first time in at least a week that the combined forces of EDEN in the Balkans hold the initiative.

While that happens, Macedonia is turning Central Montenegro back to its owner, ending the macedonian liberation of Montenegro. Central Montenegro, as it was not connected to Povardarie, (FYROM's capital) granted no bonus to the macedonians.

It is also interesting to notice that while Italy has 20 regions, 6 are already occupied by Macedonia and one is under attack (Sicily, current italian capital). Macedonia's strategy of dividing the country worked, and now it's divided into a South Zone (only fish), Central Zone (fruit & oil) and the Northern Zone (fish & fruit). Next italian capital, with the fall of Sicily, will be Lombardy.

Elsewhere, after a RW in Southern Cyprus and the end of Greece's trade route to Middle East (made them loose oil, grain & saltpeter), Turkey counterattacks at Aegean Islands. This battle will probably be the battle of the day. but i confess i'm not willing to write about it. In the same scenario, Brazil proposed a MPP with Greece. In Brazil's official communication ministry, the official reason is a retaliation to Altay DK's election at congress. Not a good reason, eh?

Poland opens its trade route & threats Kaliningrad; Finland blocking Poland

The first part of Russian-Polish war didn't went as expected to the former: Pomerania's battle was lost with a big difference between the influence by the two sides. Poland may conquer Kaliningrad again (it actually fits in Poland, btw).

In a quick reaction, Finland NE against Russia to block Poland by conquering St. Petersburg/Leningrad Oblast. They can RW it back anyway, but it'll be with Russia's initiative. Again. Tough Russia may even win Leningrad, they'll have at least one more day to lose initiative.

A bad day in the Rheimland, tough, ensured that Poland didn't lost one region besides North Rhine-Westphalia (which was given back to Germany so they could block France.

Poland finally has 9 resources, only missing rubber (they can get it at France, but it won't be easy). It's sure that closing the trade route that Poland estabilished is one of Terra's main goals, but that won't be as easy as it sounds. After all, Poland is one the main powers in Erepublik.

Iberica War has a Spain more interested in Portugal & France; Brazil advances

While Brazil won another Andalucia battle and Spain in consequence lost its saltpeter, the taçardos are almost conquering Centro and they already got a substitute for Venezuela in Midi-Pyrenees & Aquitaine battles. If i were to express this war with a percentage, it would go 5% to the Terra's side.

Brazil has a number of options in the next stage of this war: they can try to close the portuguese-spanish border (Extremadura -Castilla y León - Asturias), they can spearhead for Madrid (Castilla La Mancha - Madrid) or they can try to divide Spain (ClM - La Rioja - Navarra) & wait for USA's help.

Did we say USA? Oh dear, we did...

Poland finally tries to defend itself while only keeping one region in America

Well, there was that chip-chat about USA's intervention in the Iberian Peninsula - it won't happen if Poland isn't expelled from Mexico.

Gulf of Mexico may be the last battle in the Poland-USA war if they win the RW, if no, we'll have a second round - this time with allies.

Even if Poland isn't connected directly to Gulf of Mexico, it still holds a strategic advantage (that's of course being in America). Other regions weren't really being defended by Poland, and that's one reason they lost so easily.

Why Poland started defending itself? No One Knows.

Gulf of Mexico can be a turning point at the first v2 World War: a counterattack by Poland will seriously wreck Terra's war effort, and may end with counters everywhere.

What's Next?

- Firstly, you can choose which article i should do (probably tomorrow).
- We may reach a stagnation stage in the war if Muntenia & Central Croatia are conquered by their respective original owners.
- Terra isn't as strong as any of the alliances, but it is doing better than EDEN. Actually, i see Terra receiving more hate than EDEN from ONE.
- CONQUER DUBLIN
- CONQUER VALHALLA
- You can pretty much get the idea in the article. It's not a big reading at all.
