In the beginning, I did not plan to write an article about my departure from the game, but I want to write this following article to explain my departure. Also if they do choose to delete this article, there will be google doc version and I will post it in the forums of many nations that I am active in. (So you can censor me but this article will get readers and support in where the real power really is, the community on the forums and IRC).

I decide to leave this game since I do not agree with the business practice of this company. First with the natural enemy in the war module and now their handling of the econ update. Their recent behavior is nothing less of shocking and disgraceful. While they are bent on making profit, their greed will be their own undoing.

I am really disappointed by the national enemy aspect of the game. First of all, I do not care about the small nation aspect of the problem but that of the ethical and moral dimension. We all know that gold is spent most on the military part of the game (tanking), the only logical rational for natural enemy is to make a quick buck quick.

Also what are you thinking coming with the idea natural enemy? Is it a priori for a Greek to hate the Turks, or the Poles to German etc. There is nothing natural at all. I am really disgusted in this game in that it became a forum of national bigotry and intolerance. What is most irresponsible behavior of the game developers are that they are encouraging racism and RL conflict.

Is it not eRep rules that state: "Thou shall not contaminate the New World with filth such as External advertising, Spam, Insults, Pornography, Vulgarity or Racism." Why are the admins violating their own rules? Do you think that most conflicts in this game in the Balkans, the German-Polish wars especially that of the past, Colombia and Venezuela is independent from real life? The admins are breaking their own rules. This is call spoiling. All empires of the past, be it the Romans or the British, when they break their own rules, spoiling, the end would come soon. Spoiling is a good indicator that things within is far from well and that there is something within is rotting causing the end to come soon.

I am tired of being in a forum of nationalist and xenophobic bigotry. I question the business ethics and their judgment to encourage the so call "national enemy" aspect of the game. It is shameful, unethical, irresponsible, spineless, and unimaginative. Despite the outcry of countless people protesting, they censor and ignore their critics. Is that how you do business?

It is also a sense of fascism in the way the admins does their business. According to Barrington Moore Jr. book, the Social Origins of Dictatorship and Democracy in which he describes that when there is a revolution of the ancien regime (aristocracy). Add a bit of racism and you have something that closely resembles fascism. The only thing is not as Barrington Moore stated but did not happen in the game is that of the private freedom in industry and economics as the admins always change economic rules and modules which in a way might be different. These are the accepted preconditions, seeds of fascism in comparative politics. Like them censoring not just my paper but papers around the world declaring our displeasure of the direction this game is going, this is the direction in which the game is going.

I am tired of seeing rules changed when the admins feel like it. The direction of this game is going terribly wrong. Their customer service sucks. The Gobba ticket is not addressed at all. Even a no is better than no reply what so ever. When people voice their opinions of the game, they censor them be it in the newspaper or in the eRep forum. There is nothing republik about it. eWar, eFascism, eDictatorship.

Now I want to say thanks to a few people as well as my opinion of others.

Gobba: Despite what is your opinion of him, without his help and his kindness, I would be in eUK or a different state. It was Gobba who really encouraged me to come to Germany and be involved in ePolitics.

Abes: One of the treasures of eGermany. I have nothing but respect for Abes. He is highly active and energetic. He has passion and soul and is extremely loyal. He is a really hard worker but unlike many who shouts and show off their prestige etc Abes does not show off and brag etc. I really admire his dignity and is demeanor. Abes is definitely a high class player and a person I think all should respect and emulate.

Hig: You are one of the coolest person I know in eRep. Calm and pragmatic without losing your soul. Really experienced player and I think one of the wisest too.

Alex Drex: My best friend in eRep. Active and passionate. Really cool person and one of the few people that our friendship exist outside of eRep.

Dncelyn: His artwork speaks for himself. Creative and innovative. He is really talented and he focus in a way like Yaren, what is important in the game. Not this racist crap that the admins are pushing but at the fun aspect and the community. The game does not need to be taken so seriously.

Dermont: I really do have respect for him. He is one of the few objective person in this game. His sense of duty is boundless and he does not meddle in petty politics, but do what is needed. His fear of bla bla bla is refreshing. He is a great military leader and he should stick with the military branch since he is most comfortable there.

Machtgeil: I think of all the people I know in eRep, MG and I had the most interesting relationship. It was a rollercoaster ride of ups and down. While on some issue we had different opinion, but most importantly we had respect. I admire his idealism which something at the time I did not understand and he really did help change my views and opinions of certain issues. I grew as a person thanks to my discussions with Machtgeil.

Sir Nils: Nilly is a cool person that is really friendly. Like that of MG, he has great taste in music

Cliffor😛 Greedy and self centered. No one cares about Curns group and I found his attempt to take my account, cash, and gold petty and vain. I really did not like him being involved with eGerman issues when he mocked Bernhard and TMV. His party is not neutral and if I have it my way, I kb him from eGermany and its affairs for good.

Kravenn: Your kindness is much appreciated. Your knowledge on both eUK and in UNL/ BE and NL is impressive. You offered new light to the situations of UNL which gives me a complete image of unions and their society. You are really kind and friendly and I enjoy our discussion. You were there for me when I was down on RL as well and I appreciate our talks.

Dejan: In a way he is like my older brother. I talk to him about RL problems, politics, philosophy etc. He is really intelligent and experienced. I love his passion and his spirit. His insights on things are great too and he is like a bigger bro to me in many ways.

Sklag: He is one of the most friendly person I know and he really makes you feel happy. He warms you up and he is really funny as well. It is really hard not to hug him. (Nilly is like this too 😛)

Polenklatsche: I think he failed to grasp the rules and the way that the game is played. While I admire his fighting spirit in what he believes in, but my biggest problem is his lack of alternative. In a way he is like a kid whining no no no! But if he had a realistic alternative to PHX or whatever, then there is discussion. There is nothing wrong with your vision (while I and most others disagree with it) but the way you do it and most importantly, the lack of alternative ideas from you makes you look bad and in a way annoying.

Moonburn: Really annoying at times and goes no rants about anti-communist that is not realistic and true. His lack of understanding in the issue makes discussion with him worse. He talks about business and econ when no one really cares about and at times thinks he knows more that PHX in military operations.

Donnie Bronco: He is raw power. Fear the Donnie!!!!!

Dislex: Really cool person with too much energy and at times, needs to calm down and have more focus on the task at hand. His passion is boundless and I do not think I met a person with so much energy and passion before. Great heart and in a way very innocent.

Auggy: I think the most experienced player in all of eNetherlands. Of all of the eNLers, I respect you the most. Well rounded with econ and of foreign politics. He knows what is needed and what is not and there is no BS from him.

Theneka: You are great and I love your fun and happy attitude. Every time I see you on IRC, my day gets better.

Tim Veltkamp: Really friendly and cool eHubby. Remember, no abusing the kiddies 😛 Really good CP and I love both of his election victories.

Shakerr: A lot of your issues are like that of Polenklatsche's. Debate and not argue. Also not being in your party does not mean that the others are your enemies and it is interesting to see that most if not all of eNL are not happy with you. Offer better arguments and ideas. You do have legitimate points but your presentation needs work. Work on that and you will regain your image and respect that you had in the summer.

Woldy: What can I say, he was really inspirational to me and really motivate me to continue the game and be active in ePolitics. Every time should be Woldy time.

Iain Keers: Really intelligent and really informative. I think one of the best newspaper in eRep is his, The Economist.

Johnobrow: Really informative and one of the coolest eCommies in the game. Really passionate about his views and I really love his energy and his style.

Derkk: Also really cool eCommie. Had many discussions about political theories he knows his stuff.

eChris: Really cool even if he is a Kaiserslauten fan 😛

Lenfant: Why French name? At least you are a BVB fan...

Lyu, She is a cute little kitty and I enjoy her company.

Yaren: I have no idea what your article means but I think they are good. People take this game too seriously and they do need poetry and comic relief.

Jules Casey: Really cool person with great econ skills. Friendly and one of my good friends in eRep. A shame that I got to know him in the final days of my eExistence.

MaartenW: One of the coolest and friendliest Dutchie I know. Friendly and cool. Experience but still down to earth.

There are many more people that are cool but to say something about each person I know will be too long so I leave it at that. All of my assets are appropriated already so do not bother me about you want gold etc. That means you Clifford.

It was fun and I will continue to be on the IRC.

One more thing admins, I never know a business that takes their clients for granted. Your company does not really advertise for the game. Most of your admins are not paid but are selected from the community like that GF before he rage quit. You really do not spend a lot of resources in this game other than programming etc. Without the community which does the advertising and the purchasing of gold. Without us your company is nothing. Are you willing to spend your resources on advertising? That is why I am surprised by your hubris in which you ignore the opinions of the community on almost all issues. Ignoring the ethics discussed above, but base on a purely capitalist notion, you are really doing things wrong here. Are you that arrogant that believes that this is the only product in the market? Continue and I am sure the community will move on and then, where would your profits be, vNations? I suggest you look at this issue very carefully (which I doubt you will) and really think and reflect where this company wants to be. A company that promotes racism and ignores the opinion (even censors) that of the consumers or a company that works with and for the consumers... your choice.
