PARTY PRESIDENT ELECTION

Following the party president elections the Knighthawks have elected me to serve as its president. It was a close race between me and runner up eRanger. we didn't have the chance to hear much from eRanger during the month but i thank him/her for putting their hand up and contributing to the life of the Knighthawks. it's up to each member to play their part whether large or small. Together we all make up a big difference to the life of the game and EAustralian community activity.






THANKS TO THE COUNCIL AND KNIGHTHAWK LEADERS

A big thanks again to F0rse7i for leading the party and for his support which put me here today. Lany, ronny, Louise, Camshaft, Henry and to all the members of the other parties that have shared with us in that sense of community and support for all.

I want to make a few announcements i have planned a lot for members to discuss and i wanted to talk a little bit about some ideas for all Knighthawks to think about.





MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

We have come back up through the hard work of all active members in the shouts, in article comments and in ERep life. We need to keep that up.

I'm asking each active member to "Tell A Friend" to talk about the Knighthawks with them. Talk about our history and anything positive you can think about.

i wouldn't be me if I didn't mention that all commentary should be positive and never bag another party in an attempt to gain members. That's not sportsmanlike and most of all it's just rude and not helpful to make new friends. We're all EAussies 🙂





CONGRESS ELECTION 25 JULY

The game has opened for members to nominate for party endorsement for congress and i want all members old and new to think about it. Presuming we hold only 1 region on the deadline that produces another 10 seat congress and presuming again we don't have quota overruns between the parties we will have enough votes for two seats again minimum hopefully more.

There are a couple of qualities i will look for and while making no hard and fast rules players should be at least a month old with some kind of activity in game life.

Regardless of the party someone runs for to get anything done you need friends in all parties to get their support on proposals and suggestions. that means a bit of conversation and getting to know them.

The government has produced some helpful guides for new players. Contact the Minister for Education if you want the links (i'm sure someone will be kind enough to throw a few up in the comments because they're nice like that 🙂 )





MILITARY UNIT RELATIONSHIPS

Some players have made the valid point to me and in other article comments that lack of coordination is a big problem that shows especially in highly important battles. i don't disagree with that and will try to find a solution with the permission of the members.

Knighthawks military council party members are spread between many units and that's the personal choice of players. it's no secret though that the Khmc spawned from the interest in the Knighthawks unit.

Over time changes have been made to the admission requirements for Knighthawks and members under d4 have been referred to Hawks. Changes in the junior unit haven't always been the cup of tea for some who preferred to be in the single Knighthawks unit.

As Khmc president I will ask Henry (Kh unit commander) to open admission for Kh party members in the main Kh unit. I believe the main concern for Henry is financial costs. if this is the only setback we have room to get agreement but I want to have those discussions first so members can decide with full information.

if not I will ask members for a vote on forming a new unit that is directly systemic to the party. In either case I will abide by their decision.
