Hi EAustralia

This is the second newsletter of the June leadership term. Not much to expand on but a gee up on congress and a few other political matters of concern.

To kick off

Knighthawks Military Council have moved up to the Top 4. When I came back active it was in danger of leaving the top 5 but thanks to new members we are moving on up. Are we returning to our former glory? Time will tell 🙂

Knighthawks congress nominees

It's still early days in ERep time but congress nominations have opened. Join the party and nominate if you're interested. Party president F0rse7i will order the ticket on the 24th of the month for balloting on the 25th.

State of the congress

For the past while EAustralia hasn't had a congress from being in a state of continued wipe. Recently our combined efforts and those of our friends in LETO have enabled us win back regions to hold our first election for a while. Of course it all depends if we can hold the regions throughout the election timetable to see if we will have a game congress at all.

Organising the new congress

Like I addressed in the previous article the old senate was disbanded under Prime Minister Jardon's government when the old forum chamber ceased to exist. Chatter across the aisles seems to agree a new senate organisation is supported and will come about in consultation with Prime Minister Louise. There's always going to be some disagreement between congress and prime ministers but that's the game and that's politics.

The idea surrounds a simple board with a moderator whether the Speaker returns or not hasn't been discussed but the function will be similar to call votes, hold votes and chair debates, guide discourse and the like.

Constitution and Standing Orders

Going by what I've seen in the press and in ad hoc messages the majority agree that the days of the Constitution and Standing Orders are over. The modern day take is our political environment isn't helped by their presence. History shows they have been used as tools to settle personal scores more than progress the national interest even when their intent was good.

The documents remain in regard for their past service to EAustralia and for better or worse are part of our history and archived for posterity.

Party policies for the next congress

Another point to last article. We offer supply to government, assistance with immigration passes, advice on budgets and other government bills and generally participate in a common sense fashion.

To my knowledge there is nothing major for debate but Knighthawk congress members will have some kind of discussion no doubt if and when and how many we get in. It's all fairy floss until then.

Airstrike press cyclone

Can I ask a favour? Not sure where this supposed disagreement is as I haven't seen it but can we somehow get this out of the cycle? Makes it hard for other articles to be seen. The prime minister has made her decision and EAustralia currently has an executive only government. Not trying to be rude but there's some simplicity to the foreign policy mandate.

History

Knighthawks is one of EAustralia's longest continuing parties and have raised the careers of many former senators, speakers, cabinet ministers and prime ministers.

Recruiting on!!

If you're interested in joining our small but active party contact F0rse7i or me and we'll be happy to help. If you want to dive right in join the Knighthawks military council in game.
