Greetings and Salutations, My Fellow Americans and General Ajay Gipper Hut:

With Evry dropping out of the February CP race, this becomes what I was hoping it wouldn't become... a one-on-one with Wild Owl. I knew I had a legitimate shot at beating Evry. I was leading him in every primary I was a part of and trounced him in a Presidential poll by an independent pollster. An Evry v Jude one-on-one would have been a great opportunity for me, and it would have boosted my chances at becoming the new Country President considerably. Then, after Wild Owl declared his intention to seek re-election, I clung on to the hope that Evry would stay in the race. The two of them would split votes and I would have better odds at coming out the winner of the election. Apparently, they knew this as well, and truthfully... I fully expect to see Evry named as Wild Owl's Vice President. This is how these things go.
So far, I have lost the primaries of AMP, the Federalist Party, USWP, and WTP. In the Fed primary, I lost by only four votes. Four votes! That's not a lot when you consider that my opponent is a political powerhouse. I have received the nomination of the #6 party, SFP; and therefore will be on the ballot on election day.

I thank the Socialist Freedom Party for it's nomination.

Considering all of this, I have come to an important decision. I am not going to take the easy way out and just bow out. I will keep fighting the good fight, hoping my supporters turn out for the election on Thursday, and turn this into a New Age David and Goliath story.
I thank those who are supporting me, even those who are secret supporters. I'm truly amazed at the amount of support I am receiving and that has strengthened me to continue. I'm actually holding my own against a powerhouse of a politician who is called "unbeatable". He may be, but it's invigorating to see that I have barely trailed him in some primaries and actually have a minute, remote possibility to maybe win on the 5th. That is refreshing.

But if I lose, I lose. The old saying is Better to fail than to never try, right? After all, Wild Owl is a juggernaut in the political arena who has been leading the eAmerican foreign policy for quite awhile, not to mention that he is the incumbent who had a successful month due to eUSA's success in Resource Wars. The fact he hasn't blown me out the water already is a positive for my campaign. In addition, this whole campaign has strengthened me and if I lose, I definitely plan to run again... preferably in a month that Wild Owl isn't running (which, ironically, is how this campaign started out). In fact, quite a few people from a few different parties have asked me to run next month. We shall see. One election at a time, please.
I do have some great plans if I am elected to be Country President. In addition to the direction I spoke about in my last article, I have ideas for community growth and development of new (and old) players in order to have better retention and grow the future leaders of our country. This will open opportunities for ALL PLAYERS. If we continue to perpetuate a spirit of inequality and not give other players a chance to advance, we will continue to lose players at a faster rate than other nations in the game. Yes, the game itself is dying, but do we have to help it along by throttling the growth of our own community?

No, we do not. If elected Country President, I will start a new government internship program, geared to teach players interested in helping their government work by teaching them how to do government staff positions. Wild Owl didn't join the eUSA and automatically know foreign policy...

HE... WAS... TAUGHT... IT!!!

If we are to succeed, we need to teach the Wild Owl(s) of tomorrow and we need to do it TODAY. This internship will be a primary goal of my term.
