[JS]My Thoughts

Day 1,516, 21:50 Published in Malaysia USA by Dr. Straatman

My other article can be found HERE talking about how I think we need to work together with the Turks, not fight with them. That being said, I do have a lot to say about their actions.

First Article
This article written by Hurpy McDerperson, talking about reasons that the Resistance Party is bad and why the Turks are good for eMY.

1. In the past we've been wiped by eSG and eIndo mostly because we had no will to fight, not because we didn't have the ability. So your point that under past administrations we were less secure is still potentially valid, but not for the reasons that you put forth. In addition, you are speaking after less than a week of fighting, Indo has already proven that they can beat us if they want too. They have successfully taken all their land back and are now in a position to wipe us again. Remember that in another weeks time. The Turks may have stood up to Indo, but the ending will undoubtedly be the same as it has always been. The difference between then and now is that we actually had a relationship with Indo where we could at least partially discuss things before they occured.

2. As for the goods from eTurkey, all I have to say is panem et circenses. Panem et circenses is latin for bread and circuses, an old saying referring to the emperors way of keeping the populace happy so they wouldn't revolt. eMalaysia has the ability to create it's own weapons and food, if enough citizens would just dedicate themselves to the work. The Turks may be giving these items out of goodwill and a genuine sense of caring for the country, or they could just be giving them out to make people happy and grateful, to distract them from the truth.

3. I don't know if I missed something, but the current wage is the lowest I've seen in awhile and certainly isn't any higher than when I've hired workers or looked for a job. In fact, the job I've had for weeks is paying me more than the jobs on the market currently. Not to mention that just yesterday the wage had fallen to below 60 MYR.

4. I don't know the facts about atropates former presidency, but I do know that there are plenty of eMY's with comparable experience. And if rumors are to be believed, his previous presidency was not something we want repeated here.

5. Again, there are multiple eMalaysians, and/or former eMalaysians, with the power to get this done if they so choose.

Second Article
Now to this article written by Bollivar Sockwash. I agree almost completely with your thoughts in the article. I've always wished for a time when eMalaysia could be a powerful nation. The fact has always been however, that we weren't. The arrival of the Turks has given us the chance to be that nation, but I still question their motives and methods.

The Turks in General
As stated above, I'd love to see the eMalaysia that you wish for, but you aren't showing me any good reasons to support you. I'll admit that I was nothing more than two-clicking when you first arrived(in fact I may have even been on vacation in the ePhilippines, I don't remember) but what I've seen since I've started paying attention isn't good. I've seen you take over congress and become an independent entity, you claim to want to work together and yet I never see offers to actually do so. Again, I'm not all that active in politics at the moment, so I might just be missing these things. But from my point of view, you are willing to work with others, as long as they agree with what you want to do, and that's as far as it goes. There is no compromise, not that I have seen.

I have seen you slander, I have seen you take congress seats with no regard for the people, I have seen you take over political parties one-by-one and I have seen you impeach a democratically elected president the same day he was elected, before he was able to do anything worth impeaching. I have watched as you mirrored eTurkey's movements exactly, as pointed out in the media earlier, which only tells me that you want a satellite state, and not an independent eMalaysia. I watched as you did not fight while eSG took PM and then somehow mustered the ability to defeat them later. I could go more in-depth about how that looks, but instead I'll just sum it up by saying it looks like political maneuvering. These actions are what have kept me from being on your side. From my stand point you have not treated eMalaysians that came before you with respect and therefore you do not have mine.

eMalaysian's in General
I have seen very little cooperation on this end as well. However, as stated above I came in quite late on the situation and have not been that interested in it since. From my stand point it looks as though the Turks have been treated as outsiders, only as PTOers and not as potential citizens. This is understandable given their actions, but if you want eMalaysia to thrive, arguments will not change anything. Only debate and compromise will help us through these times.

What I ask
What I'm asking is for both sides to quit the hate. I ask the Turks to quit acting like a PTO(i.e. taking over the political parties and slandering those that stand against you.) I ask the eMalaysians to quit treating the Turks like a PTO(i.e. working against them at every turn and slandering them.)

In 2 hours, the PP elections will begin. I am once again running for the PP of Parti Kemajuan eMalaysia(no longer the Resistance Party.) If I am elected, it will be my sole purpose to coordinate between the eMalaysians and the Turks, if and only if, both sides agree to start working together more. I will not play referee to two sides that call each other names in the hopes that one side will run home with their feelings hurt.

I am ready to see eMalaysia rise, but only if it's a united group of eMalaysians that do the rising and not Turks stepping on eMalaysians to do so.
