Join the new world

Greetings friends! Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you my platform for this upcoming term should you choose to elect me as your President. I hope that my vision is a shared vision that all of Norway can stand behind.

Ministry of Defence:
Finnish Training War
Of course we all know that our TW has been ongoing for some time and I intend to continue the TW with some tweak of course. Firstly I plan to hammer our a deal that goes beyond just one single month. Our TW needs more stability and the people of Norway deserve to know that a month from now they may not be able to earn TP damage and medals. For this I will work with my counter part in Finland to sign a new deal for a minimum of two months, however possibly even a three month deal.

As well I will immediately move a motion forward to bring back Svalbard into the TW. The original idea behind excluding Svalbard was of course done in the best interests of Norway. It was meant to keep one region always in our control so that Norwegian producers could move holdings to Svalbard, not only because of its food bonuses but because of its geographic location.

Unfortunately I have seen little evidence that keeping Svalbard out of the deal has brought any economic benefit to Norway, I would actually argue that it has actually worsened our situation. Finland is no longer will to pay the same price for our TW without Svalbard included, and I believe our income from that is far greater than any companies put in the region. It was also done because of the new residence updates, but who knows when the next phase will actually come in. We can always look at one of the other options such as Vestlandet or Ostlandet which probably wouldn't have such an impact on the TW.

Norwegian Airforce Enhancement Program:
This was a program that I created and I believe is in its third week of operation right now. I am very proud of this program and I will continue on with it as is. I would like to do a summary of the program coordinated with our MoF after its fourth week so we can see how much the program is costing and how many people are actually utilizing it.

I wish to advertise the program more as well so people who can take part in the program who might not realize they could be earning money from doing damage in air battles rather than tanking take full advantage.


Joint Strikes
I think that Norway really needs to look at our position in the world and say, "Are we making an impact?" I think that answer is no. We have been far to focused on our own TW to pay any attention to our allies battles. This is why beginning the phase of bringing in a second TW, is just not feasible. I think we need to actively work more closely with our allies and one of the best ways to do that through Joint Strikes.

I think that the goal would be to do at the very least one, but two would be a reachable goal for us. Of course we would need to pick an ally(ies) to do this with and after my interview with Rusty D I feel Ireland could be a great partner for such a venture. This project will be co-opted with the MoFA as a joint project between the two Ministries.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
Global Outreach
As I said above, our place in the world has been slipping lately. Our focus has been us and not about our allies. I want to reach out to allies we have let our relations slip and let them know that Norway is back and ready to serve in our best capacity on a global scale.

This means talking with our allies, discussing there needs and how we might be able to help them achieve those. It means taking part in global issues once again. If there is an alliance discussion, we should be there, whether our chances of joining our small or not. Norway has always provided a voice of reason and calm diplomacy over the years and with our lack of outreach in recent times the eWorld is lacking that little bit of Norway it once had.


Ministry of Finance:
Norwegian Development Fund
The NDF has been getting some really great use lately. During integers term free houses were given out, under hans moving costs are being covered. I think that during July I will opt of our using the NDF. Free houses put a bit of a dent in the fund and I would like to allow the fund to recover a little bit during my term.

However I received a generous donation of Q5 food from Mrs. Rylde (thedillpickle) as a donation to Norway and I will be handing those out over the term instead.

N.A.E.P.
As stated earlier the MoF will need to work out the costs of the program after its first month. From this I wish to release a full report including the usage of the program as well as increases and decreases from week to week.

New Financial Initiatives
Firstly I must point out and thank a few people in the community who have really brought economic change to Norway. integer syntax,Jaroslav Kolesnik, and of course Major Lee Hung have all really brought forward thoughtful economic discussions in the past few months and its really helping to reshape our financial situation, programs and plans. I want to work on some of the ideas brought forward during these discussions such as...

Investments in Products
The idea is to of course buy in bulk everything from food, weapons, FRM, WRM, moving tickets and gold all for the purpose of either selling at a later date when the prices increase, or by selling these products on foreign markets where they may fetch higher prices, all profits being returned to the state.

This can be done in a number of ways, such as taking into account trusted citizens who would be willing to sell the products on foreign markets who have market licences in desired territories. This would also help Norwegian producers by buying more of their products and selling them in larger markets where products move more quickly.


Limited Business Loans
I believe this was a notion brought forward by Major Lee Hung during a discussion and I think it warrants more discussion. The idea was to loan state funds to trusted citizens which would go toward the creation Fisheries, Aluminum Mines and factories. The subsidy would be a lower incentive ranging from $1k-$3k depending on the need of the citizen.

Of course there is no way to be 100% someone will pay the funds back, but that is why this would be done on a smaller scale. Ideas for repayments range from weekly payments from the loan holders to the state, or monthly or even paying back in products worth the same value. Obviously this is something that will most likely not be accomplished this month but I would like to see a general discussion by Congress on the idea.

Ministry of Education:
Home Lottery
The bi-monthly is a cost free program that I put forward last month that we have seen success from. Its a simple way to put money back into the pockets of Norwegians and encourage citizens to buy more houses, which as most know is economically profitable not just for individuals but for the country as a whole. I will continue on with this program.

Advertising Government Programs
Advertising programs such as N.A.E.P. could be done through the MoE, as well as basic tutorials about the importance of fighting in sky battles etc.

Ministry of Immigration
Welcome Messages:
I would like to see the MoI move into a new area and be responsible for welcoming new citizens to Norway. There are tools that allow us to see new born babies here in Norway so I would like to utilize that by putting together a welcome message to be sent to the new borns including general information such as programs, what do in your first week, a little bit on fighting in battles, how to find friends, forums, discord and everything else that would be of use. Welcoming our new borns means that they are more likely to stay once they start learning the ropes and meeting new friends.
