Now, the meat of today's article. I would like to share my thoughts on the strategic aspect of the Twelve Day War and how it was carried out.

After Danyeo and Congress evaluated the deteriorating situation in South Korea (Goons, Multi users, PTO, low activity) and decided on bringing a war of merger to South Korea, it was up to the JIF to decide how to achieve the goals of the war. The best way to bring about a swift end to any war is to remove the enemies Hospitals. A fast push for Gyeonggi was on the table first. The next step is to remove population centers, companies, and raw materials from a nation in order to bring about economic collapse. Gyeongsangnam is the only region that can rival Gyeonggi in this respect.

The problem with any war in which you do not possess activated MPP's is that you will be going into a fight where you are at a disadvantage. And even if a nation has a lack of MPP's with a war declaration, you can only get one attack off before new MPP's will take effect. Thus, our initial attack needed to provide us with the most leverage for future attacks we could get. On the map above, Japan borders regions 13,14,15. Taking Region 13 or 15 provides us with the ability to attack Region 12. Taking region 14 however gives Japan access to Regions 9, 10, and 12. And also, thanks the the admins terrible knowledge of geography, Region 11, which lacks a border to Region 14. By taking Region 14 (Gyeongsankbuk) we gain a border to 3 Regions that border our final target of Gyeonggi.

Thus, we attacked and won with foreign fighters streaming in on both sides; and the superior numbers, weapon stores, and organized strength of Japan prevailed. South Korea was able to secure a MPP with Germany at this time in a close vote that we felt ensured a lack of motivation for the defense of SK. As well, increased battles in Europe would be sure to pull damage away from any fight in SK. Having spent 200g on this MPP we were also confident SK would not be able to pay 200g to renew the Malaysian MPP we had activated against us in the first attack (Much <3 Malaysia, no hard feelings). Although a Communist inspired RW delayed our preparations, we used a week to build up q5 weapons stocks for a quick push on Gyeonggi.

Finally, we began the final assault. Three regions were attacked to split Germany's damage. The secondary target of Gyeongsangnam was included to distract SK's patron Alfagrem, who owns several q5 companies there. The Chungcheong regions were attacked to provide the border with Gyeonggi we needed while allowing us to lose one region if Germany proved to put up a lot of damage. To our surprise many more foreign fighters flocked to Japan in this battle, leading us to victory in all 3 regions, as well as the 2 RW's that were started to drain our damage.

And at last we attacked Gyeonggi. President Danyeo made sure to attack Jeollanam in a diversion first. It is always important to attack the diversion region to start, since that region will be the headline in a nations news feed, and 2 clickers will be more likely to hit there than at the real target. With this diversion created we moved on Gyeonggi. By now South Korea's weapons market had fully collapsed under the strain of constant war. Japan's economy too was starting to show signs of strain as weapons prices inflated wildly. But in the end a quick victory was obtained by a large margin in both regions.

Where do we go from here. I have stated before that winning the peace will prove as difficult as winning the war. We can surely expect RW's on a regular basis, but South Korea faces a dire situation on it's own. We hope to continue to tout the benefits of Japanese residency and citizenship for South Koreans. Remember, SK citizens have access to all programs and benefits that Japanese citizens do. PM the Japanese Interior Service for gifting, and the Japanese Imperial Army to join the JIF. Together we will build a brighter future for both our people.
