IRC Chat Rooms Suck Time To Use Modern Social Networks

Lets be honest IRC is in old school way of communicating via Internet.Its been around for almost 25 years and the way it functions can be a headache just like the old CPUs from the early 1980's and the 90's.Its very flawed and makes it very difficult for new comers and expectly for my self.Also activity s very low amongst this chatrooms and as 21 century fellows we need to grow up .
Its time to Revolutionized the way we are running this country first by starting with the media department which has to do alot with the hole irc chatrooms and out dated features.One Suggestion ill have is lets require every eUSA Citizen who is in Political party to Have to join a The Official eUSA Facebook Profile .Then Have every political party , Military Unit and Gov't Department with its own group with that page and have all of them on a private setting and only does who are permitted to enter does group and belong to a PP.MU ,DoD can enter.It Makes it alot more simpler and the majority of people who are on eRepublik have facebook and it will increase the chatroom activity's since each group will have its own private chat room in order for information not be leaked.
P.S If There any suggestion to this topic maybe a alternative suggestion am totally open for it. Thanks For Reading ! there will be more to come!

Good suggestion, though I am weary of giving my RL facebook to eRep folks, unless I get to know them first.
IRC is a pain at first, but it is just so widely used in the meta-game that it has become a fixture. Some pretty serious changes would need to be made in order to change the status-quo. Not sure there's the popular will to do it.
About the nobody around thing... as you become more involved in the game, more IRC channels will open up to you. Volunteer for your party, seek a command position in your MU. These things will bring you to more active IRC chans.

Yeah definitely glad for the anonymity IRC provides. I don't even really use FB, freaking hate that site.
Its not really an alternative to IRC since its about voice, but what about Ventrilo? does anyone have servers there for eRep?
You would want to use a social media where people could create an account just for their avatar/game persona and not use their RL. So facebook doesn't work. Maybe Google+ or some other alternative ... although anyone who actually uses Google+ for something else might not like that either.
